Creating A Record for Minecraft in billing panel

In order to be able to connect to your server using your domain, or a subdomain for it that you want you will have to create an A Record. Please note that this is only if your server has a dedicated IP. If your server does not have a dedicated IP like our Budget Minecraft Servers, you will have to create a SRV record instead. Please see that tutorial here. Please keep in mind that after this tutorial it might take a while for it to start working due to DNS needing to update.

1. In the billing area click on Domains and then My Domains.

2. Now click the little wrench icon next to the domain you want to manage.

3. Now click on DNS Management in the Manage box on the left-hand side.

4. Now click on Manage A Records in the DNS Management box on the left-hand side.

5. Now click the Add A New A Record butoon.

6. If you want something like play.yourdomain.com, mc.yourdomain.com, factions.yourdomain.com to be used to connect to your server follow the steps below.

If you want just yourdomain.com to point to your server instead, and not a subdomain, skip to Step 7.

In this tutorial let’s say we want play.yourdomain.com pointed to your server's IP address.
Hostname: Should be the subdomain you want. In our case, we will type in play since we want play.yourdomain.com
IPv4Adress: Should be your server’s IP address.
TTL: Use 14400. You can also use any other values if you know exactly what this is, and how to use it.

After filling in the information click Add Record button.

If you entered everything correctly you will see the following confirmation message.

7. If you just want your domain to point to your server’s IP use the info below.

Hostname: Should be @
IPv4Adress: Should be your server’s IP address.
TTL: Use 14400. You can also use any other values if you know exactly what this is, and how to use it.

After filling in the information click Add Record button.

If you entered everything correctly you will see the following confirmation message.

8. You’re all set! You can now use your domain or subdomain you created to connect to your server. You will also see the record of it in your DNS info area and it will look something like this:
