We are proud to announce that we have developed a whole new web file manager. The primary focus of this update was to improve the usability and performance of FTP File access. We designed the new file manager from scratch to add features that were not possible before. Here are few of the new features:
Our new file manager is 2x faster than the old file manager.
Drag & Drop
Uploading files to your server is much easier now, you can just drag and drop the files to the upload panel.
We have implemented an entirely new text editor. The new text editor is smart; it can automatically indent and replace TABS with spaces to prevent common syntax errors on config files. Comments, options, values and numbers are highlighted with different colors to make it easier to read text files.
The new file manager will be released as beta very soon for both Premium and Budget Minecraft servers.
If you have any suggestions for us, we’d love to hear it! Please contact us by opening a support ticket.
We really need to start making more posts here, but that’s a whole another topic!
Today I want to let you know about a few changes we have made to our JAR Selection Menu. This will apply to both our Premium and Budget Minecraft servers.
Removal of 1.8 and 1.8.3
We have removed both Spigot and Craftbukkit 1.8 and 1.8.3 versions from the JAR Selection Menu. Most customers are using 1.8.8, and it’s the version everyone should be using anyway since it is the latest and has all latest bugs and security fixes. If for any reason at all you still need to run 1.8 or 1.8.3 you can simply run those as a custom.jar
Auto updates for Spigot and Craftbukkit
We always try to have the latest builds available in our panels, but that requires you to having manually select them. We now have an option where that is no longer necessary. If you look at the JAR Selection Menu you will find the following:
Spigot 1.8.8 (Auto Update)
Craftbukkit 1.8.8 (Auto Update)
If you select one of those it will always be updated for you to the latest version we have without having to manually select it every time a new version is out. The way it works is that every time you restart your server it will check if there is a new version, and if there is the new version will be automatically used. This will allow you to just set your selection and forget about it.
We do realize that not everyone wants to make a jump to the next version automatically, so that will never happen. For example:
If a there is a 1.8.9 version that comes out it will still be updated automatically since it’s still 1.8.x. However when 1.9 comes out, your server won’t be updated automatically, you will have to manually select it when it’s first available. Then once 1.9.1 comes out it will be updated to it automatically as long as you already manually selected 1.9.
We are going to add automatic updates for Vanilla Minecraft as well.
We are happy to announce we are now offering source servers!
Garrys Mod, Team Fortress 2 and Counter Strike: Global Offensive servers are now available to purchase from here.
The servers are fully DDOS protected and use the TCAdmin control panel which gives you full control of your servers! We have plans in the near future to add further source games to our offerings.
