BisectHosting Gaming News Roundup - May 2025
Posted on by
Welcome to the very first BisectHosting gaming news roundup! The gaming industry has so many moving pieces, new releases, and updates that it can be hard to keep track of everything. That's why we're here! We've gathered the latest and greatest highlights of gaming news from the last two weeks so that you can quickly see what's new and what's next.
The latest release from legendary studio FromSoftware is a bit different from their usual titles. While most of their games feature cooperative play, Elden Ring: Nightreign is designed entirely as a multiplayer experience. You and two friends (or two strangers if you head into matchmaking) are dropped into a shrinking map. As you explore, you must gather weapons, spells, and abilities to make yourself stronger. Work alongside your allies to defeat powerful foes from Elden Ring, other FromSoftware titles, and the all-new Night Lord bosses.
Available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC for $39.99.
Once again, an impostor is among us! Now in 3D! This new dimension on the massive multiplayer hit allows you and your pals to work together (and against one another) in an all-new perspective. The additional dimension isn't all that's new, however, as Among Us 3D also includes new game modes, limited-time events, proximity voice chat, crossplay, and a variety of twists on the ship maintenance minigames that fans know and love. Like the original title, Among Us 3D will receive plenty of updates in the future from its developer, Innersloth, for players to look forward to.
Available on PS5, Meta Quest 1 & 2, and PC for $9.99.
The long-awaited successor to the Nintendo Switch is almost here! Aptly named the Nintendo Switch 2, this hybrid console aims to be a beefier experience for both living room players and those on the go. It's a little bit larger and heavier than the first Switch, but it has super-powered guts by comparison. 256 GB of internal storage, support for HDR10, VRR up to 120 Hz, and a custom processor made by NVIDIA make this the beefiest console that Nintendo has ever produced. Luckily, it seems that there is plenty of third-party support planned alongside Nintendo's world-class exclusives, with the promise of crossplay and multiplayer experiences to come.
Available for pre-order at select retailers for $449.99.

Revenge of the Savage Planet
The follow-up to 2020's Journey to the Savage Planet, it's time once again to brave some wacky and, well, savage planets! Developed by a new team at Raccoon Logic Studios, Revenge of the Savage Planet also has some new features. Like the first game, you can explore every inch of the four dangerous and cartoonish planets with a friend. This time, however, it's a third-person adventure. As a result, there's a stronger emphasis on action-filled platforming. Of course, there's still plenty of zany and dynamic co-op that will require perfect teamwork. Don't worry — if you get eaten, stomped, or blown up, you can always try again! Available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC for $39.99.Among Us 3D

Upcoming Hardware
Both AMD and NVIDIA are hard at work creating new high-powered PC components. Rumors are swirling that we can expect the AMD Zen 5 Threadripper CPUs to launch soon, specifically the Ryzen Threadripper Pro 9975WX with 32 cores and the Ryzen Threadripper 9965WX with 24 cores. Meanwhile, more rumors are pointing to NVIDIA creating new GeForce RTX GPUs. These are, reportedly, the GeForce RTX 5070 Super and the 5080 Super, which should have 18GB and 24GB of VRAM, respectively.
