How to generate bot pathing on a Team Fortress 2 server

 Team Fortress 2 bots can be a handy feature for filling up servers, allowing users to continue playing while players join the server. However, Some maps, especially modded ones, do not have bot pathing on them, which means that when bots spawn, they will simply stand still. This guide will walk through a series of commands that can be used to generate bot pathing on the current map. After generating, bots will be able to move around the map freely.

How to Generate Bot Pathing on a Team Fortress 2 Server

1. Log in to the BisectHosting Games panel.

2. Start the server.


3. Go to the Console tab.


4. Load the desired map by using the changelevel <level> command, or setting it to the Default Map.


5. Enable cheats by entering sv_cheats 1 into the console.


6. Enter the following command: nav_generate .


7. The server will take some time to generate the bot pathing, and the map will restart when finished.
