Cultivating and selling crops isn't the only way to earn revenue in Stardew Valley. Another way to help increase cash flow is by gathering products from trees using Tappers. So, keep reading to learn how to craft a Tapper in Stardew Valley, all types, and how to use them.

How to Craft and Use a Tapper in Stardew Valley

Stardew Valley Tapper Stardew Valley players can unlock the crafting recipe for the Tapper once they reach Foraging Lv. 4. Once unlocked, craft this piece of refining equipment using 40x Wood and 2x Copper Bar. Next, use the Tapper on trees to produce various products, such as Maple Syrup and Oak Resin. It’s also possible to place a Tapper on a Green Rain Tree. Doing so will produce the Fiddlehead Fern, one of the ingredients used in making Fiddlehead Risotto and a requirement in completing the Chef’s Bundle on the Bulletin Board. Note that it's not possible to place Tappers on Fruit Trees. On the other hand, players can place Tappers on other trees to produce products in every season of the year, including winter. Keep in mind, though, that a Tapper placed on a Mushroom or Green Rain Tree during winter won’t yield products.

Types of Tappers in Stardew Valley

Stardew Valley Heavy Tapper Apart from the standard Tapper in Stardew Valley, players can also craft the Heavy Tapper as of Update 1.5. In terms of functionality, there is no significant difference between the Tapper and Heavy Tapper. However, the Heavy Tapper can produce twice the yield than the standard variant. Additionally, players can unlock the crafting recipe to the Heavy Tapper in Stardew Valley for 20x Qi Gems in Mr. Qi’s Secret Walnut Room at Ginger Island. Once unlocked, craft the Heavy Tapper using 30x Hardwood and 1x Radioactive Bar.

What Does Each Tree Give When Tapped?

Stardew Valley Tapper Products The Tapper and Heavy Tapper produce different products depending on the adjacent tree. Below are the items players can get from these tools based on their attached trees:
