  • Forage from the Secret Woods in the Summer, in the Skull Cavern’s Prehistoric Floors, in levels 41 to 69 of the Mines (only when the Shrine of Challenge is active), and in the Ginger Island jungle.
  • The Traveling Cart may sometimes offer Fiddlehead Ferns, but its price varies from 270 to 1,000 gold pieces per unit.
  • Chop tall Green Rain trees during Green Rain events (as of Update 1.6).
  • Harvest from a Tapper placed on a tall Green Rain tree.
  • Buy from Kent’s Shop for 10x Calico Egg during the Desert Festival (as of Update 1.6).

Fiddlehead Fern Uses in Stardew Valley

Stardew Valley Fiddlehead Fern Uses Stardew Valley players will find various uses for the Fiddlehead Fern. For starters, it’s a consumable item that can heal the player’s health and energy levels. Still, consuming this vegetable raw grants benefits that leave much to be desired. Instead, consider giving a Fiddlehead Fern to certain villagers. Most Pelican Town NPCs like to receive this rare plant. However, Abigail, Haley, Jas, Sam, and Vincent think otherwise, as giving any of these villagers a Fiddlehead Fern reduces their friendship level. A Fiddlehead Fern is also one of the requirements to complete the Chef’s Bundle on the Bulletin Board of the Community Center. If the player chooses the remixed version, 5x Fiddlehead Ferns are required to complete the Wild Medicine Bundle. Alternatively, use 1x Fiddlehead Fern with 1x Oil and 1x Garlic to craft the Fiddlehead Rosotto. Learn this recipe by watching The Queen of Sauce in Fall 28 of Year 2. Missing this show shouldn’t be a cause for worry, as it’s still possible to learn the recipe by watching a rerun on Sunday. However, the program shows a random unlearned recipe during reruns, which means that learning the Fiddlehead Risotto may take a while if the player missed some of the Queen of Sauce runs. Note: Learning the Fiddlehead Risotto recipe and crafting the dish once are requirements for 100% perfection in Stardew Valley. A player may also place a Fiddlehead Fern in the Keg or Preserves Jar to transform it into Juice or Pickles. Otherwise, sell the Fiddlehead Fern by placing it in the Shipping Bin. Selling 1x Fiddlehead Fern can let the player earn 90-180 gold coins, depending on its quality. Note: The selling price of the Fiddlehead Fern increases by 10% if the player has the Tiller profession. Finally, a Fiddlehead Fern can be used in the spool of the Sewing Machine at the home of Emily and Haley. Combine it with Cloth to create the Green Overalls cosmetic item.
