Brass is a valuable resource players must gather in 7 Days to Die to fight back against the undead hordes. Farming this resource allows survivors to craft many kinds of ammunition for different firearms. With that, here we'll cover the best ways to gather brass in 7 Days to Die and all the crafting recipes it's useful for.

How to Farm Brass in 7 Days to Die

7 Days to Die Brass Players can get Brass in 7 Days to Die by salvaging specific items or smelting them at the Forge. For the former, you can use a disassembly tool (e.g., a Ratchet, Wrench, or Impact Driver). Below are the items that turn into Brass when salvaged:
  • Brass Radiator (187 units)
  • Brass Faucet (12 units)
  • Bullet Casing (1 unit)
On the other hand, smelting an item for Brass requires a Forge, which you can craft using the following materials:
  • 50x Cobblestone Rocks
  • 1x Wood Log
  • 10x Leather
  • 3x Duct Tape
  • 3x Short Iron Pipe
Note: Read 5x Forge Ahead magazines to unlock the crafting recipe for the Forge. Generally, smelting certain Brass items in the Forge yields more raw Brass than salvaging those items. For example, smelting a Brass Radiator yields 250x Brass instead of salvaging it for 187 units. Note: Smelting a Brass Trophy, Brass Candlestick, and Brass Doorknob for Brass is no longer possible after the Alpha 21 update. Additionally, you may exchange Duke Coins for Brass from Traders. However, it's typically more cost-effective to smelt 1x Duke Coin for 1x Brass than to exchange the currency for the material.
