Terraria requires its players to gather specific ingredients to craft its many powerful items. Some of these craftable items even need fish, like the Prismite. So, continue reading as we help you find and fish the Prismite in Terraria.

Terraria Prismite Location

Terraria Prismite Location Introduced in Update 1.2.4, the Prismite in Terraria is a Hardmode fish only found in the Hallow biome. That means players must first defeat the Wall of Flesh to trigger Hardmode and convert the Crimson or Corruption biome to the Hallow before catching this fish.

How to Fish Prismite

Terraria Prismite Fish Prismite at any reasonably deep body of water in the Hallow biome. However, the chances of catching a Prismite are higher when fishing at the surface and sky layers. Attempting to catch this fish at the underground layers can be more challenging since you might also catch other marine wildlife. Thankfully, the Prismite doesn’t require a specific fishing rod and bait, unlike the Duke Fishron boss. However, you might be able to catch this fish sooner rather than later if you’re using a good fishing rod with a bait with a fairly high fishing power. Some notable examples of fishing lures to use are the following:
  • Tree Nymph Butterfly
  • Gold Worm
  • Gold Water Strider
  • Gold Ladybug
  • Gold Grasshopper
  • Gold Ladybug
  • Gold Dragonfly
  • Gold Butterfly
  • Master Bait
Note: All fishing lures mentioned above have a 50% base fishing power.

Prismite Crafting Recipes in Terraria

Terraria Prismite Crafting Recipes At the time of writing, the Prismite in Terraria is an ingredient to craft two items: Lifeforce Potion and Seafood Dinner. The former, in particular, increases the user’s maximum health by 20% for 8 minutes. On the other hand, consuming the Seafood Dinner provides the Plenty Satisfied buff for 14 minutes, boosting the player’s stats by a medium amount. You’ll find the crafting recipes using Prismite as one of their ingredients below:
  • Seafood Dinner: 2x Prismite (craft at a Cauldron or Cooking Pot)
  • Lifeforce Potion: 1x Bottled Water, 1x Prismite, 1x Moonglow, 1x Shiverthorn, and 1x Waterleaf (craft at an Alchemy table or Placed Bottle)
