Formerly known as Alpha 22, 7 Days to Die 1.0 draws near! Although players still have to wait for the official announcement of the game's date of full release, developer The Fun Pimps starts the hype train with a streamer weekend focusing on this major update’s new content, features, and more! Here's everything we know about the streamer weekend so far.

7 Days to Die 1.0 Streamer Weekend: What To Know

7 Days to Die 1.0 Streamer Weekend The 7 Days to Die 1.0 Streamer Weekend lets the game's player base get a first-hand look at this first-person survival horror title's full release and new offerings. Streamers who meet the requirements will receive a beta access code from the developer, allowing them to download the latest version of 7 Days to Die 1.0. Interested streamers should follow these steps to have a chance of receiving said code:
  • The Twitch or YouTube streamer must have at least 5,000 followers or subscribers before applying
  • Those who have the initial requirement can apply through this form
  • Wait for a response from the developers telling you that you qualify
  • Create an announcement video (in English, if possible) about the acceptance to participate in the Streamer Weekend
  • Reply to the acceptance email with a link to the announcement video
  • Wait for an invitation in the official 7 Days to Die Streamer Weekend Discord server, which will include the password to download version 1.0
  • Enter the Discord server and set your nickname with the name of your Twitch or YouTube streamer handle
If selected, ensure that you follow these guidelines when making your announcement video:
  • It should include the terms (or something similar) "rough estimate" and "subject to change," which refers to the date of the Streamer Weekend.
  • The announcement can be part of a longer video, but the link you submit should be cued to the part about the Streamer Weekend.
Additionally, accepted streamers can say the Streamer Weekend is "happening soon." However, the developers mentioned that this event will occur sometime in June, and there's no exact date revealed just yet.

Other Important Details

The Fun Pimps also revealed certain details about the Streamer Weekend and its application process. The following pieces of information can help those who wish to apply for this momentous event:
  • Participation from previous 7 Days to Die Streamer Weekends is no longer a requirement for this particular instance.
  • Every streamer, regardless of the number of Streamer Weekend participations, must submit a new application using the form mentioned above.
  • The developers will hand-pick the streamers who can represent the game and the company well.
  • Accepted streamers must have a paid copy of 7 Days to Die and should know the game sufficiently well.
  • A following for YouTube and Twitch isn’t a requirement. Instead, interested applicants must only have a 5,000-member following on one of the mentioned streaming platforms.
  • Streamer Weekend participants can create online multiplayer servers that allow others to play Version 1.0 during the test period, even if those players didn’t apply or weren’t accepted for the event.

When is the 7 Days to Die 1.0 Streamer Weekend?

As mentioned earlier, the time and date for the 7 Days to Die Version 1.0 Streamer Weekend isn’t set in stone. However, streamers and those who wish to watch them should expect this event to occur sometime in June 2024. Remember, the previous instances of the Streamer Weekend events don't follow a particular pattern. However, interested watchers should expect an announcement at least two days before the event's date. Here's a look at some of the past few Streamer Weekends to show that the developer doesn't follow a pattern for this event:
  • Alpha 18 Streamer Weekend: October 4, 2019 to October 6, 2019
  • Alpha 19 Streamer Weekend: June 26, 2020 to June 28, 2020
  • Alpha 20 Streamer Weekend: December 3, 2021, to December 5, 2021
  • Alpha 21 Streamer Weekend: June 9, 2023, to June 11, 2023
Players can also watch the upcoming 7 Days to Die 1.0 Developer Stream on Friday, May 31, 2024, at 9 PM CT. Alternatively, enjoy the current offerings of the game in a 7 Days to Die dedicated server with your friends while waiting for the full release.

Things to Expect During the 7 Days to Die 1.0 Streamer Weekend

During this period, watch your favorite 7 Days to Die streamers experience and showcase the new content, features, enhancements, and optimizations that the game’s full release offers. Some of these new offerings include the following:
  • New animals, zombie variants, and POIs
  • VFX/Graphics enhancements
  • New gore system for zombies
  • Vehicle asset overhaul
  • Updated controller support, and more!
