Terraria Restoration Shield Guide: How to Get, Stats, & More
Posted on by
Some accessories in Terraria grant the user the effects of multiple items in one, freeing up gear slots for other pieces of equipment. One notable example is the Restoration Shield, which focuses on improving the player’s survival in pre-Hardmode by enhancing health- and mana-related features. So, keep reading to learn more about the Restoration Shield in Terraria, especially how to get it and its stats.
Introduced in Update 1.4.5.7, the Restoration Shield in Terraria requires two accessories as crafting ingredients: the Mana Regeneration Band and the Cobalt Shield. Fortunately, the Restoration Shield and its crafting materials are pre-Hardmode items with reasonably common materials. However, the crafting path to make this shield is quite lengthy.
For starters, crafting the Mana Regeneration Band uses 1x Band of Starpower and 1x Band of Regeneration at the Tinkerer’s Workshop. Find the Band of Regeneration as loot in a random gold chest in the Underground, Cavern, or Lava layers.
As for the Band of Starpower, check out our guide on it for the different ways to get it. Then, visit the Dungeon, and open Golden Lock Boxes and Gold Chests for a chance to get the Cobalt Shield. With the Mana Regeneration Band and Cobalt Shield in your inventory, head to a Tinkerer’s Workshop to craft the Restoration Shield.
Equipping the Restoration Shield grants the user the effects of the two accessories used to craft it. In particular, it makes you immune to knockback, increases maximum mana by 40 points, enables natural health regeneration, and improves natural mana regeneration rate. Wearing the Restoration Shield should free up an accessory slot for other items to enhance your chosen build.
With that, here are the stats for the Restoration Shield in Terraria:
