Windrose Cursed Swamps Guide: All Discoveries, Resources, & More
Posted on by
Once you've conquered the Foothills in Windrose, you'll want to set sail for the infamous Cursed Swamps. Things are a whole lot tougher here, but there's still plenty of new discoveries and resources to uncover that can help along the way. Bits and pieces from crocodiles, Plague Wood, Leeks, and much more are all awaiting your arrival. Here we'll show you exactly how to acquire and get the most out of all that the Cursed Swamps has to offer.
Here, we've listed every item you can find in the Windrose Cursed Swamps. These are separated into in-game categories: Key Discoveries, Major Discoveries, and Other Resources.
Fight your way through the Cursed Swamps, and, eventually, you'll come face-to-face with the enormous and terrifying High Priestess. You won't be able to waltz into the swamp and fight this boss. You'll have to reach the end of the main questline "Forgotten Relics" first. This quest will only start once you've finished fighting Israel Hands.
The main thing to keep in mind when you finally fight the High Priestess is stamina management. This is important for all fights, true, but the High Priestess has a small window of extreme vulnerability. To make this happen, you need to attack yellow globs that occasionally spawn on the Priestess's body. Destroy these, and the opportunity to deal massive damage will arrive as the boss falls to the ground. You'll want to ensure you have as much stamina as possible so you can attack with everything you've got during this time.
Other than keeping an eye on health and stamina, there's not too much to be aware of in this battle. Manage to overcome the boss, and you'll receive Charon's Obol and ten Tears of Sorrow for your trouble.
