Windrose Backpack Guide: How to Increase Inventory Space
Posted on by
Frequently returning to your base to unload the items collected from a resource-gathering run is definitely not how the pirate life should be, even in Windrose. Reduce those instances of returning to camp because of a full inventory by upgrading your backpack space, and we’re here to show you how through this guide!
Each player starts with eight quick slots and 16 backpack slots. Start increasing your backpack space in Windrose by crafting the Torn Sailcloth Bag.
This inventory upgrade requires using 2x Coarse Fabric and 1x Rope at a Workbench Level 1. Use 6x Plant Fiber at the same workstation to craft the 2x Coarse Fabric. As for the Rope, stay in the same workstation and use 3x Plant Fiber to craft 1x Rope. Once crafted, equip the Torn Sailcloth Bag to increase your backpack’s slots by four.
To increase your inventory space in Windrose further, craft the Sailor Backpack at a Workbench Level 2. So, your first order of business for this particular objective is to build this workstation.
Begin by farming 10x Copper Ingot. Do so by mining 40x number Copper Ore at the mine north of the beach of the initial spawn point. Next, craft 10x number Charcoal at a Charcoal Kiln (built by using 25x Wood and 20x Clay). Use Copper Ore and Charcoal at the Smelting Furnace (built using 15x Clay and 30x Stone) to craft the Copper Ingots.
The next step is to build the Sawhorse using 20x Wood and the recently crafted 10x Copper Ingot. Placing this station automatically upgrades the Workstation Level 1 to Level 2.
To craft the Sailor Backpack, you must use 1x Torn Sailcloth Bag, 2x Copper Ingot, and 5x Rough Hide. Collect the hides by defeating boars on the island. Return to the Workstation Level 2, use the materials, and equip the Sailor Backpack. Doing so increases your inventory size by eight instead of four.
Tip: Get the backpack upgrade faster than normal with the help of friends in a Windrose co-op server.
