V Rising Update 1.0 - Release Date, Ruins of Mortium Zone, New Enemies, & More

May 17, 2022 – the date when the world of Vardoran changed as vampires rose from their deep sleep, as this was when V Rising was released as an Early Access title. Almost 12 years later, this vampire action survival RPG is about to enter its full release with V Rising Update 1.0! Here, we'll go over everything we know about V Rising Update 1.0 so far, including its release date, The Ruins of Mortium zone, new enemies, and more.

V Rising Update 1.0 Release Date

V Rising Update 1.0 Release Date On June 20, 2023, V Rising developer Stunlock Studios posted an update that mentioned the game’s full release, a.k.a. Update 1.0. Three months after that announcement, the developer revealed that V Rising Update 1.0 now has a release window, which is in the second quarter of 2024. However, a more recent announcement stated that V Rising 1.0 will arrive on May 8, 2024. You can watch the trailer for the game's full release below:

Additionally, it doesn't mean the game's full release marks the end of its support. Stunlock Studios confirms that it'll continue supporting the game for as long as its player base exists.

V Rising 1.0: All Content and Features Revealed So Far

V Rising 1.0 brings a plethora of new content, features, and improvements to the vampire survival action RPG. These latest additions and enhancements are the following:

Ruins of Mortium

V Rising 1.0 Ruins of Mortium An ancient evil stirs from within the walls of this forgotten realm. Battle the denizens of the night from the depths of Dracula's hellish domains. What secrets will you uncover in this land that’s beyond the world of men?

Conflict Zones

V Rising 1.0 Conflict Zones V Rising 1.0 introduces zones within the Ruins of Mortium that you can capture. Conquer rifts to seize an area and gain exclusive resources. Remember, you’re not the only faction that wants these special prizes.

New Discoveries

V Rising 1.0 New Discoveries Apart from the additions, V Rising 1.0 also adds content to existing elements. For instance, vampires will be able to find discoveries in Farbane Woods. Also, explore Vardoran’s different regions again to unearth the legend of Dracula’s demise.

Cargo Travelers

V Rising 1.0 Cargo Travelers With the release of V Rising’s full release, vampires can find human cargo travelers with their carts and trailers traversing the roads of Vardoran. Intercept the caravans and find precious items from within.

Improved Graphics

V Rising 1.0 Improved Graphics V Rising players will soon find exploring Vardoran to be a more immersive experience with the aid of various visual enhancements. For instance, developer Stunlock Studios introduces a new light engine that sets the mood across different locations across the world map.

Game Modes

Players with different difficulty preferences can soon choose their preferred difficulty settings. Update 1.0 lets vampires of various skill levels choose from one of three new difficulty settings:
  • Relaxed: For those that favor exploration, building, and more relaxed combat.
  • Standard: An experience focused on exploration, building, and challenging combat.
  • Brutal: Face devastating challenges in a world with evolved adversaries.

New Enemies

As mentioned earlier, the arrival of the Ruins of Mortium also comes with new threats. One of these new dangers is the lord of darkness himself – Dracula. According to the release notes, Dracula arrives with his servants to help fuel his return. Strike fear into the heart of the supreme lord of the vampires and defeat him (or at least try to) and his minions. Speaking of Dracula’s minions, new V Blood Bosses join the fray to try and defeat opposing vampires. These new V Blood Carriers include Elena the Hollow, Cassius the Betrayer, and Valencia the Depraved.

Enhanced Magic

New passive magic bonuses are also included with the game’s full release. However, information is scarce at the time of writing. Nonetheless, players should expect various improvements across the V Rising’s different spells.

New Weapons

V Rising 1.0 New Weapons Are you tired of swinging swords and axes? With Update 1.0, vampires can wield new weapon types, including the bow and whip. Additionally, this major update adds new, unique, legendary weapons to its gear library. Each legendary weapon promises to cater to every player’s unique playstyle. Do you want more power out of your new legendary weapons? If so, the Ancestral Forge will receive an upgrade with this patch. Players can use this station to unlock new upgrade paths for their favorite weapons.

Spider Form

V Rising 1.0 Spider Form A tactical retreat is sometimes advisable to prevent an early death against hostile humans and Dracula’s hordes. Thankfully, the new Spider Form lets vampires skitter to safety. Use this new transformation spell to hide from your enemies’ watchful eyes, particularly with its burrow ability.

New Armor and Armor Customization

V Rising 1.0 New Armor Players can soon don new armor sets in V Rising. Like the new weapons, the new protective gear has perks that cater to different playstyles. Additionally, vampires can personalize the armor pieces they wear using new dyes.

Castle Relocation

A quality-of-life improvement that many vampires are excited about is the upcoming castle relocation feature. Before 1.0, players must build multiple castles at different locations to make certain areas more accessible. With this major patch, vampires can use the new feature to move their entire castles to a different base location by laying down the framework and pressing a button.

Item Management Overhaul

V Rising 1.0 Item Management Overhaul Managing your castle’s resources will become easier, thanks to the various improvements to the game’s item management system. With 1.0, players can craft items at increased speeds with the new Forge Advanced Stations. Various UI improvements have also become available, allowing players to move items in different containers conveniently and seamlessly.

New Castle Décor

V Rising 1.0 New Castle Decor Do you feel bored with the current look of your castle? Spice up your moody décor with new furniture and decorative items!

New Music and Music Player

V Rising 1.0 Music Player The Music Player is a new craftable interactive structure in V Rising 1.0. With it, players can enjoy the haunting melodies of Vardoran while resting at their massive abodes. You can also immerse yourself in new music with the release of this update.

Reimagined HUD and Full Gamepad Support

V Rising 1.0 Gamepad Support This major patch reimagines the standard HUD to help make playing with gamepads easy. Also, gamepad users will soon enjoy full customizability for their preferred controllers with the release of V Rising Version 1.0.

Achievements

V Rising 1.0 Achievements V Rising was one of those games that didn't have achievements. However, that truth will now become a thing of the past with Update 1.0, as this major patch introduces Steam achievements. PlayStation users won't be left out as upcoming V Rising console players will be able to earn Trophies for completing specific objectives.

The Legacy of Castlevania DLC

V Rising 1.0 Legacy of Castlevania DLC A Castlevania collaboration with V Rising will arrive on the same date as version 1.0’s release. This paid DLC comes with various content and features, including the following:
  • Castlevania-themed furniture and décor
  • Shapeshift to Maria Renard, the Flea Man, or Alucard’s Wolf Form
  • Skeletal skin for the horse
  • New hairstyles: Alucarde, the Lecarde sisters, and Succubus variants
  • Simon Belmont boss battle
