The Invaders of Oakveil Update introduced new bosses to V Rising, one of whom is Dantos the Forgebinder. Located deep within the Oakveil Woodlands, this master of weapons deals heavy blows to any vampire who disturbs his workshop. However, defeating this mighty foe opens the doors to powerful endgame weapons. So, here’s what you should know to prepare for the fight against Dantos in V Rising.

Who is Dantos the Forgebinder in V Rising?

V Rising Dantos the Forgebinder In the smoldering heart of the Oakveil Woodlands, Dantos the Forgebinder hammers the days and nights away into steel. Once a revered craftsman, Dantos' obsession with crafting the perfect weapon led him to a dark path. This road eventually led to Megara, and now, his anvil is a crucible of cursed arms.

Dantos the Forgebinder Attacks and Fight Strategies

V Rising Dantos Attacks The fight against Dantos the Forgebinder generally eliminates most, if not any, chance of defeating this V Blood Carrier quickly. Patience is the key to winning this fight, as vampires must study the patterns generated by the arena's unique mechanic. In particular, four furnaces can be found in Dantos’ forge. This boss likes to travel to the center of these furnaces, causing “earthquakes.” Being near the shockwaves caused by the earthquakes is a quick trip to your respawn point. These attacks also cause the furnaces to generate fireballs. So, movement is proper observance, and movement is essential when fighting this boss. With that, below are Dantos the Forgebinder’s moveset to help you prepare for this fight:
  • Slam: Dantos jumps into the air and slams his hammer at the position of the player.
  • Hammer Swing: Dantos gets into melee range and swings his hammer horizontally.
  • Force Quake: Dantos travels to the center of the arena, causing earthquakes that generate damaging shockwaves.

Fight Strategies, Tips, & Tricks

V Rising Dantos Fight Strategies As mentioned earlier, patience wins over rush attacks in the fight against Dantos the Forgebinder in V Rising. His slam and hammer swing attacks are reasonably easy to dodge. However, ensure that your dash move is always ready when these moves occur, or else Dantos will get a free hit. The real challenge comes when Dantos uses Force Quake. Although it’s possible to damage him while doing this attack, it’s dangerous to do so. Instead, watch the arrows appearing near Dantos to know where the shockwaves travel. Then, dodge or move away accordingly. However, stay away from burning furnaces, as these emit fireballs while Dantos is using Force Quake. Although the fight against Dantos generally takes longer than most V Blood Carriers, waiting to strike at the right moment will make you the victor.

Dantos the Forgebinder Loot Table & Rewards

V Rising Fusion Forge Defeating Dantos the Forgebinder in V Rising for the first time grants the player a Tier 2 Frost Spell Point. Using it can unlock one of three Frost abilities: Crystal Lance, Frost Barrier, or Arctic Storm.
