Terraria Thanksgiving Boss & Event Guide

Thanksgiving is the time for eating turkey, and Terraria is not as different as the real world. Thanksgiving in Terraria brings more than this delectable bird. It also lets players summon and defeat an exclusive boss.

Terraria Thanksgiving Event: An Overview

Terraria Thanksgiving Introduced in the game’s mobile version 1.1.6255, the Thanksgiving Event is exclusive to the Nintendo 3DS and Windows phone versions of the game. Players can purchase the Turkey Feather item from the Merchant NPC during this period. Using this item summons the event-exclusive Pet Turkey. Additionally, every enemy has a chance to drop the Cursed Stuffing item. Unlike other boss-summoning items, using the Cursed Stuffing to summon the event-exclusive boss, Turkor the Ungrateful, requires a specific procedure that’ll be explained in detail in a later section.

How to Start the Thanksgiving Event

It automatically triggers when the game detects the system’s date to be November 1. The event lasts until November 30. Players can either wait until November 1 or manually change their device’s date to trigger Thanksgiving in Terraria.

How to Summon the Thanksgiving Boss in Terraria

Terraria Thanksgiving Boss Summon Turkor the Ungrateful, the Terraria Thanksgiving boss, by purchasing the Turkey Feather from the Merchant for 10 Gold Coins. Then, summon the Pet Turkey using that item. Next, use the Cursed Stuffing to summon Turkor and despawn the Pet Turkey. Attempting to do this summoning procedure outside of Thanksgiving will consume both items, but the boss won’t appear. Note: Summoning the Thanksgiving boss in Terraria also consumes the Turkey Feather item from the inventory.

Turkor the Ungrateful Attacks & Strategies

Turkor the Ungrateful will appear on the summoned location. However, this boss is immobile, except for its floating heads. The body has 7,000 maximum life, and each head has 2,500. At first, Turkor appears with only one floating head. Depleting the boss’ health will make more heads appear over time. Thankfully, the heads are attached to the body, leaving them vulnerable to ranged attacks. So, it’s best to use ranged and magic weapons for this fight. Summoned minions also work well to help reduce Turkor’s health. Note that defeating the body first will detach the heads and chase the player until killed. On the other hand, defeating the heads will make the body vulnerable for 25 seconds. During this period, Turkor’s body also receives a defense down debuff, making it easier to kill than usual.
