The biggest Terraria update in years has finally arrived! Terraria Bigger & Boulder update 1.4.5 has brought an enormous amount of new content, including two different collaborations: Dead Cells and Palworld. Fans of the open-world creature collector Palworld might remember when Terraria made an appearance in the game back in June 2025, but now the roles are reversed. Palworld Pals have invaded Terraria, and we can tell you exactly how to gather each of the powerful critters in this guide.

Terraria 1.4.5: All Palworld Pals & Where to Find Them

Terraria Palworld Dragon Egg screenshot In the Terraria 1.4.5 update, there are now five different Palworld Pals to find and collect. For the most part, the Pals have different effects, but all of them are incredibly valuable allies to help you on your journey. Some of them are easier to find than others, but you shouldn't expect to grab a Pal immediately after starting a new file. You'll want to make sure you have a few specific tools before hunting down some of these fuzzy friends.

Digtoise

  • How to Get: Find in the Underground Desert. Use a pickaxe on it to transform it into an item.
  • Effect: Summons Digtoise to help with mining!
  • Description: Right-click away to recall Digtoise. Right-click to pet it!
As the name suggests, a Digtoise is found underground. To make finding one easier, you'll want to make sure you have the following:
  • Spelunker Potion
  • Metal Detector
Additionally, this Pal is only found in underground deserts. Find a normal desert above ground, and start to dig down until you see a message on your Treasure Finder saying, "Digtoise detected nearby!" Keep sniffing around the area until you find a large spiked shell. Dig it out, and voila! You have a Digtoise. This Pal is particularly handy for excavating. You can command this turtle dig out vertical or horizontal 3x1 tunnels. Super handy for clearing out space when you need to explore or make a new base.

Cattiva

  • How to Get: Rescue from two Goblin Scouts at the surface layer.
  • Summon Damage: 19
  • Damage: +11%
  • Knockback: +15% (Average)
  • Armor Penetration: +10
  • Summon Tag Damage: +3
  • Effect: Summons a Cattiva to fight for you.
  • Description: A lovely pal that also helps your mining efforts. Right-click to pet it!
This one takes a few steps. First, you need the following items:
  • Water Candle
  • Battle Potion
  • Life Force Analyzer
Next, you need to venture far out into the outer reaches of your world until your Life Force Analyzer starts to identify Goblin Scouts. You're hoping to find a small group of Goblin Scouts holding a Cattiva captive. Slay the Goblin Scouts, and Cattiva will become an item that you can pick up and use to summon a Cattiva. This Cattiva will help you in battle by autoattacking enemies. The Water Candle should help Goblin Scouts appear more frequently, and a Battle Potion can give you the buff you need to end each enemy encounter more quickly.

Foxparks

  • How to Get: Rescue from two Goblin Scouts at the surface layer.
  • Summon Damage: 42
  • Damage: +15%
  • Knockback: +15% (Average)
  • Armor Penetration: +10
  • Summon Tag Damage: +3
  • Effect: Summons Foxparks to fight for you.
  • Description: Left-click to use Foxparks’ Huggy Fire skill, shooting flames! Right-click to pet it!
Luckily, you find Foxparks the same way that you find Cattiva. Unfortunately, it's a bit harder to happen upon Goblin Scouts guarding a Foxparks. Simply continue to explore the outskirts until you find one being guarded. Liberate the Foxparks, pick it up as an item, and now you can wield it as a fire-belching gun!

Chillet & Chillet Ignis

  • How to Get: Search for a Huge Dragon Egg in the underground layer.
  • Effect: Summons Chillet for a ride! Empowers your attacks while mounted.
  • Description: Double tap a direction to use Rocket Slam! Right-click to pet it!
Finally, we have two different versions of the adorable Chillet. Like the Digtoise, make sure you have some good digging tools, and head underground in any biome. You'll want to keep digging deeper and deeper until your Treasure Finder reads, "Huge Dragon Egg detected nearby!" Then, you need to do a little more searching until you come across a large purple egg with black stripes. Mine it to place it in your inventory, and use it to receive your very own Chillet mount. The normal Chillet is blue, and the Chillet Ignis is red. There's no difference between the two other than colors, but it's random which one you'll receive. Didn't get the right color? Better hunt for more eggs!
