
Terraria: How to Get the Hercules Beetle

Amidst the dense Jungle biome of Terraria lies a powerful accessory for summoners called the Hercules Beetle. Unleash its latent power to boost summon damage. Do so, and your summoned minions pack a literal punch. So, time to find out how to get this accessory as you read this guide.
The Hercules Beetle is a Hardmode-exclusive accessory. Get the Hercules Beetle by buying it from the Witch Doctor NPC for 40x Gold Coin. However, this item is only available if the NPC is in the Jungle and after defeating Plantera.
Note: The Witch Doctor can move into your base if there’s an available vacant house and the Queen Bee boss has been defeated.
Terraria players can simply equip the Hercules Beetle accessory to take advantage of its summon damage and knockback-boosting effects. In particular, it boosts the damage of summoned minions by 15% and improves their knockback by 2 points. Although the tooltip clearly states that the accessory boosts the knockback of minions, it also positively affects sentries and whips.
Additionally, the +15% minion damage effect acquired from wearing the Hercules Beetle is the same as the Summoner Emblem accessory. However, the Hercules Beetle
Alternatively, as of Update 1.2.1.2, use the Hercules Beetle with the Necromantic Scroll at the Tinkerer’s Workshop to craft the Papyrus Scarab. This accessory combines the effects of the two ingredients used, freeing up an equipment slot for other options.
With the Papyrus Scarab equipped, the user can take advantage of the effects of the Hercules Beetle and it increases the maximum number of minions by one. It’s a top-tier accessory for summoners in Terraria, as it improves overall DPS while enhancing survivability through collaborative attacks.
Note: The Necromantic Scroll drops from the mini boss of the Pumpkin Moon event, Mourning Wood.
