Finally! After plenty of anticipation, we now know the identity of the two new Stardew Valley marriage candidates for the upcoming update 1.7. Thanks to a celebratory video from developer ConcernedApe, the candidates have been identified, and we know that 1.7 is still on the way. Can't wait any longer to meet your new potential partners? Stardew Valley Update 1.7 New Marriage Candidates REVEALED

As you can see in the image above, it's finally time for players to propose to Clint! The other candidate is none other than Calico Desert resident and Oasis proprietor Sandy. Unfortunately, we still don't have a release date for update 1.7. As a result, we don't know when players can invite Clint or Sandy to join them in holy matrimony. Now, however, at least players know who to expect. Basically, all other details on update 1.7 are still shrouded in mystery. ConcernedApe didn't give any new information for us to whet our appetites with other than a new farm type and these new spouse candidates. Instead, the livestream focused on the game's 10-year journey on its anniversary and some original ideas that had gotten scrapped, or adjusted in the final version. For now, outside of these new marriage candidates and a new farm type that we don't have details on yet, all we have to go on for new content in 1.7 is this tweet from the developer back in December 2025. Some new character and social aspects (marriage to Sandy or Clint included) and a potential new farm type. Other than that, we'll have to continue to be patient.

While we don't have exact information on the heart events that Clint and Sandy will have in update 1.7, like other marriage candidates, it's safe to assume they'll follow a similar route.
