In today’s day and age, it is never safe to leave a movie until the credits reach their close. After all, there could be a post credits scene filled with lore any fan would want to know. Today we look at one such example and answer, “Is There a Minecraft Movie Post Credits Scene?”

Is There a Minecraft Movie Post Credits Scene?

A Minecraft Movie Logo A Minecraft Movie does indeed have a post credits scene. There is also a credits scene that plays as the credits still roll, so be sure not to confuse it with that. The post credit scene occurs at the very end of the credits, right before the screen goes black.

If you happen to have missed the post credit scene, or simply want the spoilers, we have you covered. A Minecraft Movie’s post credits scene begins with Steve, played by Jack Black, returning to his real-world house that has since been sold. Upon knocking on the door, a woman in a green shirt with orange hair answers, but she is only shown from behind. Together, they have a brief conversation about the house, particularly the attic, before giving each other their names. The scene ends with the woman sharing that her name is Alex. This name is of note because Alex was the second player character added to Minecraft after Steve. Her outfit also matches what she wears in-game. While this could very well have just been a last-minute easter egg, it could also hint at further movie plans that still lay ahead. A Minecraft Movie did not cover the end dimension or the Ender Dragon, giving plenty of room for a sequel where Alex joins the fray. Hopefully, the sequel theory turns out to be the case! After all, an Ender Dragon battle would be a sight to see on the big screen.
