How to Repair Gear in V Rising

V Rising Repair Gear Unlike other games with survival and sandbox elements, the gear repair mechanic in V Rising is a relatively straightforward process. Vampires can even fix their equipment while they’re exploring Vardoran, as long as they have the required materials. Follow these steps to repair your equipment:
  • 1. Open the inventory by pressing the Tab key (by default for PC users)
  • 2. Find the weapon or armor piece that needs repair
  • 3. Click and hold the middle mouse button (by default for PC users) to repair the item
You can check the materials needed to fix an item by hovering over it. Doing so shows the item’s current status. Additionally, checking a piece of equipment shows its repair cost, which uses the materials used to craft that particular item. For example, repairing a Bone Sword typically needs Bone. Thankfully, weapon and armor durability loss has been decreased as of  the Secrets of the Gloomrot Update.

  • Orange Item Icon: Item is broken and provides no benefits to the user
Remember, repair costs increase as the armor or weapon's durability decreases. So, gauge when to repair your equipment to help reduce resource costs. Also, focus on repairing your best weapons or armor to reduce material wastage. Also, a broken weapon is still usable to gather basic resources, including wood and stone. Consider keeping one or two broken weapons in your inventory to farm materials without risking damage to your good gear. Alternatively, throw equipment into the Devourer to salvage it. Doing so can help you get some of the crafting materials back for efficient resource management.
