V Rising Adam the Firstborn Boss Guide: Location, Fight Tips, & Loot Table
Posted on by
Known to be one of the toughest, if not the most challenging fight in V Rising prior to Dracula, Adam the Firstborn waits for his next victim at one of the northern biomes in Vardoran. Defeating this “Monster” is no easy feat. That’s why it should be in your best interest to continue reading as we guide you in defeating this late-game V Blood Carrier!
Doctor Henry Blackbrew has a mind so brilliant that it birthed horrors. His creation, once dubbed "The Monster," was meant to symbolize the peak of human evolution. The conception of his ideas and research gave birth to a war machine of unmatched power. However, ambition blinded the doctor, forging fire and hubris to create a beast that no chain could bind. And so, the story of Adam the Firstborn in V Rising came to be.
As a V Blood Carrier, Adam the Firstborn is a Level 88 boss that holds the recipes to endgame armor pieces. He's also one of the toughest bosses in the game, considering the fight has two phases, requiring players to ration their consumables properly if they want to survive and win this encounter.
Find Adam the Firstborn in V Rising in Doctor Blackbrew’s Castle. This location is in the westernmost region of Gloomrot North, particularly above the Trancendum Laboratories.
Unlike most boss locations in V Rising, vampires must first unlock a gate and a door to the arena where Adam the Firstborn is located. Normally, players must use an EMP to destroy these barriers, albeit this method requires an hour to complete. Alternatively, use the Bat Form and fly over one barrier to reduce EMP usage.
Once inside, players can’t initiate the fight immediately. Instead, turn right and up the stairs upon entering Doctor Blackbrew’s Castle. Then, interact with the lever to release Adam from his electric shackles.
Apart from Adam himself, fighting him requires constant observance of the arena. In particular, eight lightning towers exist around the boss' location, slowly depleting the health of any vampire that tries to get close to them.
Nonetheless, it’s possible to damage these towers to reduce the number of dangers while fighting Adam. However, players must still pay attention to Adam’s attacks while trying to destroy the towers.
Tip: Play in a V Rising multiplayer server and ally yourself with other players so they can focus on one task, such as destroying the towers, while you concentrate on damaging Adam.
Moving forward, and as mentioned earlier, Adam the Firstborn has two phases. In Phase 1, he has the following attacks:
Defeating Adam the Firstborn in V Rising has a chance for him to drop an Onyx Tear. Other loot, including a Legendary Weapon Shard, an Exquisite Heart, the Soul Shard of the Monster, and Flawless Gems, should also appear upon his death.
Additionally, defeating Adam for the first time unlocks the following blueprints and crafting recipes as of Update 1.1:

Fight Strategies, Tips, & Tricks
Some vampires may want to modify their equipment, abilities, and spells for this fight. For instance, it’s ideal to wear armor with sufficient defenses for this fight. With that, the Dawnthorn armor set or any of its upgrades should be worn at the bare minimum. Additionally, wearing the Blood Merlot Amulet is great as it increases the wearer's Spell Power significantly, which can be great for certain builds like the summoner. Also, the pistols can work wonders for this fight. Remember, Adam is more threatening when at close range. So, keep your distance and use the pistol’s decently fast attack speed to deplete his health as fast as possible. Additionally, keep an eye on his attacks. Almost all of Adam's attacks have certain tells before he does them. For example, Adam will lift his leg up before he stomps. Another example is his Eye of the Storm attack, wherein he’ll start by raising his fist before unleashing the move. Managing to see these tells increases your chances of survival, as you should be able to make better decisions during the fight.Adam the Firstborn Loot Table & Rewards
