Stardew Valley Sandy Gift Guide: Loves, Likes, Hates, & Heart Events
Posted on by
As the keeper of the store in the Calico Desert, Sandy brings warm smiles and various odds and ends to those who don’t mind spending their hard-earned gold coins at her shop. Nonetheless, hers is a soul as complex as the desert horizon. So, uncover the woman behind her chosen name and befriend her with the help of this Stardew Valley Sandy Gift Guide.
Sandy is the mysterious owner of the Calico Desert store in Stardew Valley. Her seemingly sly smile and title hide her true name, as she explains that “Sandy” isn’t it. Nonetheless, “Sandy” says that people calling her that is good for business.
This anonymity brings a splash of vibrant life to the desert sands. Her demeanor is even hinted at in one of the conversations with Emily. Befriend her, and you’ll find a genuine heart beneath the sun-bleached exterior.
Stardew Valley players can gift Sandy up to two items per week. However, an additional gift-giving opportunity is available during her birthday in Fall 15. Do so, and the effect of the present is 8x more than the normal XP added to Sandy’s friendship level.
Also, Sandy has unique replies depending on whether she loves, likes, dislikes, or hates a certain gift:
Sandy is among some NPCs in Stardew Valley that don’t have many Heart Events. In particular, she only has one, and it doesn’t involve a lengthy cutscene. This fairly straightforward scene triggers upon reaching seven hearts for her friendship level. The scene in question is Sandy sending the Tom Kha Soup cooking recipe to your mail. Receive the instructions to complete this Heart Event.
Apart from this one Heart Event, Sandy can randomly send one of three gifts to your inbox, as long as the friendship level is greater than zero points. These items are Coconut, Cactus Fruit, and Tom Kha Soup.
Note: As of Update 1.3.27, all of Sandy’s letters in Stardew Valley have a distinct appearance, as she uses white lined stationery.
