How To Use Item IDs In Sons Of The Forest

Sons of the Forest Use Item ID Various options are available to spawn items using their IDs in Sons of the Forest. One example is to download a mod engine like WeMod. Alternatively, you can edit one of the game’s source files to include the items of your choice in your save file. Warning: Create a backup of your saved file before editing it. Modifying the file may corrupt it, particularly if you edit certain parameters. Here are the steps to add items to your Sons of the Forest save file by editing it directly:
  1. Open the Run window by pressing the Windows key + R
  2. Type %AppData%\LocalLow\Endnight\SonsOfTheForest\Saves
  3. In the 17 numbers folder, find your save file under the Single Player or Multiplayer folders
  4. Select your preferred save file by opening it in the Notepad app
  5. Search for lines like {\”ItemId\”:XXX,\”TotalCount\”:X.\”UniqueItems\”:[]}
  6. Change the “XXX” to the three-digit item ID of your choice
  7. Save the file and load it to check if the item is now in your character’s inventory
For example, if you want the Rope Gun, you replace the “XXX” in the string with its item ID. So, it should look like this: {\”ItemId\”:522,\”TotalCount\”:1.\”UniqueItems\”:[]}. You can also use these item IDs to obtain certain achievements like the Maker trophy. You can also use these items by either looking for or generating them through their IDs with a dedicated server here!
