As a survival crafting game, RuneScape: Dragonwilds tasks you with plenty of resource gathering to survive in Ashenfell. Naturally, that means plenty of chopping down trees and mining ore deposits. A particularly useful early game material that you'll need to make more advanced materials is Copper Ore. With it, you can craft a Furnace and eventually get some Bronze. But first, we'll cover the best locations you can find Copper Ore in RuneScape: Dragonwilds, and how to make use of it here!

Where to Find Copper Ore in RuneScape: Dragonwilds

The best location for finding Copper Ore in RuneScape: Dragonwilds is throughout the Fractured Plains. Wander around it long enough, and you can find plenty of deposits lying around. However, we've had particular luck in finding more deposits along the western edges of the plains. Luckily, the Fractured Plains are covered in a pinkish foliage, and the bright orange-tinged Copper Ore sticks out like a sore thumb. Once you've found some Copper Ore, you can only mine the stuff if you have a Bone Pickaxe. You'll need to make one of these at a Crafting Table with the following ingredients:

• 8x Animal Bone
• 6x Ash Logs
• 4x Leather

With your Bone Pickaxe in hand, swing away and gather as much Copper Ore as you can carry and take it back to your base for some crafting. After you've mined enough ore and clay in the game to get your Mining skill to level 24, you can unlock the spell Detect Ore + Clay. With this, you can easily mark any ore near your current location. This spell sends an enormous pillar of light matching the color of the ore into the sky. Again, this is only available after you've sufficiently leveled up your Mining skill. Additionally, the Rocksplosion spell, unlocked at Mining level 11, can help you mine ore even more quickly with a powerful explosion.

Copper Ore Uses in RuneScape: Dragonwilds (Crafting Recipes)

Now that you have a healthy helping of Copper Ore, there is one major use for it: Constructing Bronze Bars. Unfortunately, Copper Ore isn't all you'll need to make Bronze Bars. Tin Ore must be combined with your Copper Ore within a Furnace, and you'll receive some Bronze Bars for your trouble. Here's the recipe for Bronze Bars:

• 3x Copper Ore
• 3x Tin Ore

With Bronze Bars, you can create an enormous number of useful weapons, tools, building parts, and armor. Of course, you can also convert your Copper Ore into Small Copper Nuggets, Medium Copper Nuggets, or Small Copper Bins. All of these items are purely for decoration purposes. Not very useful for survival, but incredibly important for making your living space more varied and personalized. Here are the crafting recipes for all of these decorative Copper pieces:
