Palworld Whalaska Capture Guide: Locations, Breeding Combinations, Stats, Skills, & More
Posted on by
You'll see Pals inspired by myths, everyday objects, and real-world animals as you explore the Palpagos Islands. One Pal you'll eventually run into is Whalaska. As its name (and appearance) imply, this Pal is a massive whale with an iceberg growing on its head, forming a sharp horn. It's a powerful and useful Pal you'll find a bit later in the game, and we can tell you all you need to know. Take a look below for info on where to find Whalaska in Palworld, its breeding combinations, stats, and more.
Whalaska typically spawn around level 55. As such, you won't find them wandering around the majority of the open world. Instead, you need to explore the most frozen and southern regions of Feybreak Island. You can find some Whalaska to the far north near coordinates 141, 636, around the Isle of the Glacial Core. However, you'll find many more of the critters if you explore Feybreak. Make sure you bring the proper gear and clothing meant for surviving colder temperatures!
If you'd like to have a Whalaska start from level one, you'll need a Large Frozen Egg. These are found scattered around colder environments in the game, and there's a chance that a Whalaska can hatch from them. However, you could also hatch any of the following Pals:
Despite its strength and the fact that it resides in the later game, Whalaska isn't too tough to fight. They typically travel alone and aren't very mobile. In battle, a wild Whalaska will try to fight you from a distance until it uses its signature move, High Breach. This causes the Whalaska to rush you, dive down, and then reemerge high in the air to launch a new attack. Just stay mobile, have some suitable high-powered ranged weapons of your own, and you can take a Whalaska down easily. Its enormous body makes a great target!
Of course, you can always make things easier by bringing a Pal with the proper element. As a dual Water/Ice type, Whalaska is vulnerable to Electric-type moves. True, Fire might work well against its Ice type, but its Water half would put any Fire Pal in danger. As a result, we recommend an Electric Pal that can resist both Water and Ice-type moves.
