Deaths in Minecraft are always frustrating, especially in hardcore. But, thankfully, as of this past week, they may just earn you a reward! Today, we explore the exciting partnership between Ice Cube and Minecraft, alongside how to file a Minecraft Cube Claim.

What is #CubeClaim?

Minecraft Cube Claim is a collaborative partnership between famed rapper and actor Ice Cube and Minecraft, where Ice Cube reviews player deaths and determines whether they were player negligence or the fault of Minecraft. The initial tweets regarding this partnership also joked about a lump sum reward, but with very clear text beneath that it was not true. For this reason, it is best that potential claimants move forward under the assumption that it is all for fun. However, we have yet to see what happens when Ice Cube actually approves a claim, so who knows. There is no official deadlines for Cube Claims at this time.

How to File a Minecraft Cube Claim

Minecraft Cube Claim Ice Cube Promo Image Filing your Minecraft Cube Claim requires only an active X (formerly Twitter) account and a video of the Minecraft death. From there, explain your claim (Minecraft Death) in a tweet with #CubeClaim present somewhere within it before attaching the video. The exact steps will vary slightly depending on your platform, but they generally amount to the following:
  1. Open X (formerly Twitter) via the website or official app.
  2. Create a new Tweet and add media (on mobile, this may be labelled as adding a photo.)
  3. Select your Minecraft video.
  4. Add a short description with #CubeClaim within it.
  5. Click “Post”
With that, your Minecraft Cube Claim should be submitted! To double-check if this is the case, head over to #CubeClaim to see if yours is present. While there, you can also check out others who have put forward their claims as well. There is no guarantee a claim will make it into a video, but we’ll be hoping that yours is one of them.
