Minecraft Cherry Blossom Biome Guide: Mobs, Blocks, & More
Posted on by
In a forest of eternal spring that carries petals on the wind, one of the most beautiful biomes hides. A place of vibrant pinks and greens with more bees than every other biome combined! Today, we explore the cherry grove, or cherry blossom biome, in our Minecraft cherry blossom guide.
Added as an experimental feature in Minecraft 1.19.4 and officially in Minecraft 1.20, the rare cherry grove biome, or cherry blossom biome, is a breathtaking area filled with blossoming cherry trees, bees, and pink petals flying gently in the wind. It is home to only a few unique resources, but the vibrant colors of both the biome and its blocks make it a very deserving fan favorite.
Those looking for a cherry blossom biome will have the best luck searching around the lower ends of mountains or on standalone plateaus adjacent to plains and sunflower plains biomes. They often generate as long thin stretches of land or in small clusters. Sadly, nothing in-game exists to directly point to one, making the rare biome all the more difficult to find. Those with OP on a server or commands enabled, however, can use the command below to skip the process.
Cherry logs offer a complete wood block set of soft, pink-colored blocks. This includes unique designs for both doors and trapdoors.
Cherry leaves are made of pink blossoming flowers with green leaves sparsely spread throughout. They can be harvested with shears.
Pink petals are a flower block that functions akin to carpet blocks, acting as a thin layer on top of grass and dirt. When placed, it will initially consist of three small pink flowers, but adding more to the same space increases the density, number of flowers, and petals. This can be done up to three times, which brings the pink petal block to its maximum stage of four, where the flowers and petals are most abundant.
While the cherry blossom biome does not offer any exclusive mobs, it does contain a few unique traits. Cherry blossom trees commonly have bee nests within them, often making the biome home to an abundance of bees. Rabbits can also spawn in groups of up to six within cherry blossom biomes, resulting in many hopping around. Otherwise, sheep, pigs, and glow squid can be encountered alongside the standard nighttime hostile mobs.
