If you want to travel through the land of Hytale, you have a few options. You can walk, use a mount, or zip from place to place with a system of teleporters. If you do want to create some physics-defying travel gates, you need to make sure you have one semi-elusive ingredient first: Azure Kelp. It's not impossible to find, but it can be tricky if you don't know where to look. Take a look below to see exactly how to get Azure Kelp in Hytale, including where you can find it.

How to Get Azure Kelp in Hytale

Hytale Azure Kelp Map screenshot Those teleporters won't build themselves, so you need to head out and explore! Azure Kelp can only be found in Azure Forests. These densely wooded areas can appear all over the world map. The easiest way to find them is to regularly open your map during your travels. You can spot them easily thanks to their blue-green grass and trees, as seen in the image above. Once you've found an Azure Forest, your next job is to locate a body of water. It can be a small pond, a lake, or even a river running through the forest. Azure Kelp only appears in these waters. You'll know you've found some when you see a plant that is just barely breaking through the water's surface. Azure Kelp has a slight blue glow that reflects off the water. It also has a sparkly glitter effect to let you know just how valuable it is. You won't need a special tool to harvest Azure Kelp either. You can simply harvest it by interacting with it using the F key. Unfortunately, you won't find Azure Kelp in every body of water in an Azure Forest. Additionally, some Azure Forests can spawn so small that they don't have bodies of water at all. Thankfully, when you do manage to find Azure Kelp, you won't need a lot of it to craft your teleporters. You only need two Azure Kelp to craft two teleporters. Eventually, you'll have the ability to create more than two teleporters, so even when you don't think you need Azure Kelp, keep your eyes peeled for it as you travel through the Hytale overworld.
