It's time once again to venture into the dinosaur-filled world of Ark: Survival Evolved and ARK: Survival Ascended with your one true love. This Valentine's Day event operates a little differently than players are used to now that Ark: Survival Ascended exists. With that, here's everything you need to know about the Valentine's Day events in ARK: Survival Ascended and ARK: Survival Evolved.

Ark: Love Ascended Valentine's Event

ARK Survival Ascended Valentines Event The new Ark event for 2025 is exclusive to Ark: Survival Ascended. Unfortunately, that means that Ark: Survival Evolved players wont' be able to participate in the newest Valentine's Day-themed festivities. For those who will be jumping into Ark: Survival Ascended, the event starts on February 12th, and lasts until February 19th. Expect new event creatures such as Lovebirds and Love Bugs, event-exclusive items and emotes, and a swath of new creature colors. For a full list of event-specific items, you can check out the Ark: Love Ascended update.

Ark: Survival Evolved Valentine's Event Guide

So if Ark: Survival Ascended is getting all of the new stuff, is there anything happening for Ark: Survival Evolved? Yes and no. No, there won't be brand-new content to celebrate Valentine's Day. No, there won't be any update to the game that coincides with the holiday. But is there a way for Survival Evolved players to enjoy their favorite heart-centric time of year? Yes! Before the existence of Ark: Survival Ascended, Ark: Survival Evolved did hold Valentine's Day events. Now, the only way for players to access these events is to do them on their own. Here's what you need to do to activate them in your game:
  • Open your game's console.
    • On PC, press Tab
    • On PlayStation, press L1, L2, Triangle, and Square simultaneously.
    • On Xbox, press LB, RB, Y, and X simultaneously.
  • When your console opens, enter the command activeevent=vday.
Voila! That's all there is to it! Now, you'll have full access to the bells and whistles that were included in the original Ark: Survival Evolved Valentine's Day events. This includes the following:

  • 3X Breeding
    • Mating interval, egg hatch speed, and maturation
