Where to Find Tar in Windrose

That makes defeating Israel Hands a priority before it’s normally possible to access the game’s third region. Once here, search for Tarwood Trees and cut them down to farm Tar. Spot these trees from afar by their unique roots that sprawl from the ground. However, Tarwood Trees can only be chopped down with an Iron Axe or a higher-tiered variant. Players without an Iron Axe can craft it using 5x Foothills Iron Ingot and 5x Wood at a Workbench Level 2, which means a Sawhorse must be within the base’s premises. Tip: Work with friends in a Windrose dedicated server to increase your gathering efficiency.

Tar Uses & Crafting Recipes in Windrose

Acquiring your first piece of Tar in Windrose unlocks the Tarred Fabric and Tarred Planks crafting recipes. Additionally, Tar is a crafting ingredient for four recipes in the current build of Windrose Early Access, which are the following:

Enchanting Table

• Fabric Arborum: 1x Linen Fabric, 1x Tar, and 1x Essence Arborum
• Hide Arborum: 1x Crocodile Hide Piece, 1x Tar, and 1x Essence Arborum

Tanning Rack

• Tarred Fabric: 1x Linen Fabric and 1x Tar

Workbench + Sawhorse + Tool Shelf

• Tarred Planks: 1x Wooden Plank and 1x Tar

Tarred Planks and Tarred Fabric are two of the various materials needed to build a Frigate. In particular, constructing this warship meant preparing 80x Tarred Planks and 80x Tarred Fabric. That also means using 160x Tar, along with other ingredients like Timber and Nails, to create this massive water vessel.
