Windrose: How to Get the Rapier of a Thousand Cuts
Posted on by
The Rapier of a Thousand Cuts in Windrose is an early- to mid-game piercing weapon that can add some serious bite to your combat prowess. A boat may not even be a requirement to add this melee weapon to your arsenal. So, keep reading to learn this one-handed sword’s location and what you can do with it to your enemies.
It’s possible to get the Rapier of a Thousand Cuts on the first island you spawn into in Windrose. First, search for the Traveler’s Camp. Once found, you should be able to find a Traveler’s Journal Page on top of a crate. Read it to find a note.
Although lengthy, your focus should be on the following line: “I’ll bury the excess gear nearby, beneath the tree marked with a red rag.” So, search near the Traveler’s Camp for a dead tree with a red rag tied to its trunk.
Equip your Shovel after finding the landmark mentioned in the Traveler’s Journal Page. If you don’t have a Shovel at this point, return to your base and interact with the Workbench. Here, craft a Shovel using 3x Copper Ingot and 10x Wood.
Next, dig through the earth surrounding the dead tree with the red rag. Eventually, you’ll find a Decrepit Chest, which should contain the Rapier of a Thousand Cuts, along with other useful items like health potions.
Tip: Join a Windrose server with sufficient progress on its map to find the Rapier of a Thousand Cuts easier than in a solo/offline world.
Generally, players can get a Rare-tier Rapier of a Thousand Cuts from the chest near the Traveler’s Camp. Bleed builds can take advantage of this weapon, thanks to its special effect:
