You can get plenty of rare items, recipes, and powers by destroying your enemies in V Rising. However, there are some items you must purchase if you want to get your hands on them. There are multiple currencies in V Rising, but Silver Coins are one that are particularly valuable. Here, we'll cover how you get them, and what they can help you buy!

How to Get Silver Coins in V Rising

Silver Coins, unfortunately, are a random drop when you're out and about. To find as many as possible, make sure you're always looting every chest you run into. These coins are more likely to drop in a higher-level area, such as the Silverlight Hills. However, you might not want to head to the hills right away, as their recommended level is around 60. You can get Silver Coins much more quickly if you craft them yourself. You'll have to take a few steps to acquire the Silver Coin crafting recipe. It takes some work, but minting your coins is much easier than hoping to find them while exploring. Of course, there's one small problem when it comes to Silver Coins in V Rising: you're a vampire.

How to Protect Yourself from Silver

Unfortunately, vampires and silver don't get along too well. If you're carrying Silver Coins, your vampire will be afflicted with Silver Sickness. Whether it's Silver Coins, Silver Ore, or Silver Ingots, any silver in your inventory will cause you to take damage over time. The more silver you're carrying, the more damage you'll take. This makes shopping trips a bit tricky, so here are the different items you can use to give yourself Silver Resistance:

Consumables

• Silver Resistance Brew: 32x Snow Flower & 1x Empty Waterskin — Gives 15 Silver Resistance
• Silver Resistance Potion: 40x Plague Brier & 1x Empty Glass Bottle — Gives 50 Silver Resistance

Bags

• Silver Thread Bag: 12x Leather, 4x Wool Thread, & 8x Silver Coin — Allows you to carry 200 Silver Coins without sickness
• Mountain Peak Bag: 12x Thick Leather & 4x Wool Thread — Allows you to carry 300 Silver Coins without sickness
• Pristine Leather Bag: 12x Pristine Leather & 4x Radium Alloy — Allows you to carry 400 Silver Coins without sickness
• Bat Leather Bag: 12x Bat Leather & 8x Ghost Yarn — Allows you to carry 500 Silver Coins without sickness

Cloaks

• Hunter's Cloak: 8x Cotton Yarn — Gives 15 Silver Resistance
• Phantom's Veil: 12x Silk & 8x Spectral Dust — Gives 15 Silver Resistance

While these options can help you transport your Silver Coins, the bags are easily the most useful. Silver Resistance is nice, but the bags will completely nullify the effects of Silver Coins. If you're transporting ore or ingots, however, then potions and cloaks are more useful.

Vendors that Trade in Silver Coins

Once you have your Silver Coins and a way to minimize the effects of Silver Sickness, you can finally head to some vendors! If, of course, you've managed to unlock the Human Form ability. Now, you can finally head to one of the three vendors that will accept Silver Coins in V Rising. We've ordered the three shops below based on the rarity of their items. Gavyn the Shady Dealer, for example, can be found very early in the game, even though Silver Coins are tricky to find early on. By the time you head to the merchants available in the late game, you want to make sure you have the ability to mint your coins. Their wares get expensive!

Gavyn The Shady Dealer

Gavyn follows a wandering path. This can make him a bit trickier to locate, but you should be fine if you have your Human Form to ward off unwanted attention. You'll have the easiest time finding Gavyn near the southern region of Farbane Woods. You might have an easier time finding him on the roads south of the Bandit Copper Mine.
