The pistol build in V Rising offers nimble, high-mobility combat. It excels in kiting enemies while unleashing rapid, explosive attacks from range. Those who master the art of proper positioning and using combos as pistol wielders will be highly rewarded for this typically demanding playstyle. So, if this build interests you, keep reading to learn more about it!

Best Pistol Build in V Rising 1.1

V Rising Pistol Build Using a dual-wield pistol build in V Rising promotes high burst damage, strong disengagement, and quick mobility in various combat scenarios. Although this build generally requires precise aim and quick thinking, the results speak for themselves as you stand above the carcasses of your dead foes.

Best Weapons

V Rising Pistol Build Endbringers Arguably, the best weapon for the pistol build in V Rising is the legendary gear known as The Endbringers. Albeit it often requires significant time, effort, and resources to craft, these endgame pistols can obliterate any foe that lines up in your sights, which can include Dracula.

The Endbringers

V Rising The Endbringers
  • Gear Level: 30
  • Physical Power: 33.7
  • Attributes: +10% weapon skill cooldown recovery rate, +5% movement speed, and +50 max health
  • Durability: 3,800
  • Ability Modifications: Fan the Hammer: Allows you to move while channeling at 40% movement speed. Hits inflict Ignite. Explosive Bullet: Landing Explosive Shot allows you to recast a second shot. Hitting the same target triggers the explosion instantly, dealing 100% additional damage and inflicting Ignite.
Although The Endbringers offer excellent damage capabilities from afar, it can still be a good idea to bring a melee weapon with you. Other legendary weapons, such as Mortira’s Lament, can be great substitutes for enemies that get too close for comfort. The new Chaos Coating introduced in Update 1.1 also does wonders for the pistol build, especially when using The Endbringers. With this consumable, you’ll trigger a Chaos Explosion that deals 50% spell damage to hit enemies. Additionally, it ignites the area, complementing the abilities boosted by this dual-wielded pair of pistols. Note: Defeat Stavros the Carver in the Oakveil Woodlands to unlock the Weapon Coatings crafting recipes.

Best Armor

V Rising Pistol Build Best Armor It’s easy to get carried away in V Rising as you start blasting opponents left and right. However, focusing too much on offense and disregarding defense can be a recipe for disaster and an early grave. So, don't forget to equip the best armor for the pistol build in V Rising, and Dracula's Shadow armor set isn't one to miss. This endgame defensive equipment enhances the wearer’s survivability by increasing health and movement speed. The latter is important to maintain DPS while dodging enemy attacks. Check out the following stats and bonuses of the Dracula’s Shadow armor set below:
  • Gear Level: 9
  • Durability: 1,359
  • Set Bonus: +812 total max health, +8% total physical critical chance, increases movement speed by 4% (equip two pieces), increases veil cooldown rate by 7% (equip three pieces), and gains 12% physical critical chance and 6% movement speed for 4s after using a Veil (equip four pieces).

Abilities & Spells

V Rising Pistol Build Abilities Spells
  • Dash: Chaos Veil
  • Spell Slot 1: Lightning Tendrils
  • Spell Slot 2: Chaos Volley
  • Ultimate: Chaos Barrage
Agility and movement are essential as a pistol player in V Rising. Still, don’t forget about dealing as much damage as possible to enemies. One way to achieve that goal is by capitalizing on abilities in the Chaos family, as these Ignite opponents, dealing 50% spell damage over five seconds. Additionally, killing an Ignited enemy triggers an explosion, dealing an additional 50% spell damage to nearby hostiles. With that, Chaos spells like Chaos Volley and Chaos Barrage are typically ideal for this build. Chaos Veil is also a great dash move, as it inflicts Ignite on enemies within the ability’s range. Lightning Tendrils, although it’s not a Chaos ability, can still be a great spell for the V Rising pistol build. Albeit part of the Storm Magic tree, this spell triggers Static, providing additional crowd-control when dealing with enemy groups. As for the passive skill slots, consider the following options below for this particular character build: V Rising Pistol Build Passive Skills
  • Chaos Kindling: Increase Spell Cooldown Rate by 7%. Ignite deals 25% increased damage, and Chaos Explosions ignite enemies hit.
  • Renewing Flames: Deal 8% increased spell damage to enemies affected by Ignite, and Ignite heals you for up to 25% of your spell power.
  • Rampage: Increases Physical Critical Chance by 8%. Physical Critical Strikes grants 12% increased Attack Speed for 4s.
  • Lethal Strikes: Increases Physical Critical Power by 8% and deals 12% increased Physical Damage to enemies below 30% health.
  • Wicked Power: Increases Spell Critical Chance by 8%. Spell Critical Strikes have a 50% chance to inflict a random spell school effect.

Best Blood Types

V Rising Draculin Blood Type Taking advantage of Chaos abilities and their related effects as a pistol-wielding vampire in V Rising generally calls upon the need for the Draculin blood type. With it, players can focus on dealing as much damage as possible with their Chaos spells. Search for Draculins around Vardoran, but you'll likely find them near Dracula's Castle. So, if you get the chance to see one, especially if it has high-quality blood, it can be ideal to capture it instead of taking it down. That way, you don't have to go through the trouble of finding another Draculin should you require its beneficial effects again.
