Terraria’s waters aren’t as pristine as you might think. Its bodies of water sometimes have items that have crossed dimensions, namely the Joja Cola from Stardew Valley. So, keep reading to learn more about how to get this drink in Terraria, and its usage to acquire a secret pet.

How to Get Joja Cola in Terraria

Terraria Joja Cola Introduced in Update 1.4.4 – Labor of Love, the Joja Cola in Terraria is a junk item. That means it’s possible to fish this can of carbonated beverage from any body of water in Terraria. Additionally, there are no special requirements to fish Joja Cola out of water, unlike catching deep sea creatures like Duke Fishron. Nonetheless, the chances of getting Joja Cola through fishing are fairly low. Some players may be able to get it within a few minutes while others might not be so lucky.

Joja Cola Uses in Terraria

Terraria Joja Cola Use Dryad Consuming Joja Cola in Terraria grants the user the Well Fed buff, which translates to the following boosts:
  • +2 defense
  • +2% critical hit chance
  • +5% melee and mining speed
  • +5% damage
  • +0.5 minion knockback
  • +20% movement speed
This buff lasts 2 minutes, but the timer can be refreshed by consuming another Joja Cola or an item that can grant the same effect. However, the Terraria version of Joja Cola has other uses. In particular, have at least one unit of this beverage in your inventory when near the Dryad NPC. Do so, and she’ll comment about it when you interact with her. Holding a Joja Cola while talking to the Dryad will let the NPC purify it. This action triggers a portal, wherein you can glimpse at Stardew Valley for a few seconds. Wait for the portal to close, and a Stardrop should appear. In Stardew Valley, using a Stardrop permanently increases the player’s maximum energy by 30 points. On the other hand, Terraria’s version is a pet-summoning item. Using it summons a Junimo pet that follows you wherever you go. This docile creature doesn’t attack, but still provides some companionship when adventuring as a solo player in a Terraria server. Note: Images courtesy of Udisen Games.
