So, test your skill in completing the special orders requested by Mr. Qi, and we’re here to help you settle these side quests as you read through this guide.

How to Unlock Special Orders from Mr. Qi in Stardew Valley

First, collect 100x Golden Walnut on Ginger Island. Do so to unlock Mr. Qi’s room. Here, you’ll find a quest board similar to the one in Pelican Town. However, this panel in Stardew Valley shows the special orders from Mr. Qi that you can accept and attempt to complete.

All Mr. Qi Special Orders in Stardew Valley

10 special orders from Mr. Qi exist in Stardew Valley as of Update 1.6. It’s unclear if future updates will add to this list. Nonetheless, the following quests are among the most challenging in Stardew Valley, as some of them require time, patience, and even a bit of luck to complete.

Danger in the Deep

• Quest Objectives: Reach the bottom of the Mines
• Reward: 50x Qi Gem
• Maximum Time Limit: 7 Days
• How to Complete: Prepare by crafting 100x Staircase (uses 99x Stone per unit). Then, use a Staircase on each level of the Mines to reach the bottommost area quickly.

Extended Family

• Quest Objectives: Catch the following legendary fish: Ms. Angler, Glacierfish Jr., Son of Crimsonfish, Radioactive Carp, and Legend II
• Reward: 20x Qi Gem
• Maximum Time Limit: 3 Days
• How to Complete: Find the following legendary fish in Stardew Valley to complete this special order from Mr. Qi: Ms. Angler: Find in the river north of Jojamart. Glacierfish Jr.: Find in the southernmost area of Arrowhead Island in Cindersap Forest. Son of Crimsonfish: Find by fishing at the eastern pier. Radioactive Carp: Find in the sewers. Legend II: Find in the mountain lake.

Four Precious Stones

• Quest Objectives: Find 4x Prismatic Shard and place the items in Mr. Qi’s collection box
• Reward: 40x Qi Gem
• Maximum Time Limit: 28 Days
• How to Complete: Players must find 4x Prismatic Shard during the duration of this special order. Any Prismatic Shard found and placed in Mr. Qi’s collection box before accepting this quest won’t be considered. Let’s Play a Game

• Quest Objectives: Score 50,000 points in Junimo Cart endless mode
• Reward: 20x Qi Gem
• Maximum Time Limit: 7 Days
• How to Complete: Play the Junimo Kart game at the arcade cabinet in the Stardrop Saloon, and score 50,000 points in its endless mode.

Qi’s Crop

• Quest Objectives: Ship 500x Qi Fruit
• Reward: 100x Qi Gem
• Maximum Time Limit: 28 Days
• How to Complete: Accept this special order from Mr. Qi to let Qi Beans spawn in Stardew Valley. Find Qi Beans in various containers, such as rocks, trees, garbage cans, and artifact spots. Monsters may also drop Qi Beans upon death. Then, plant the Qi Beans for them to grow into Qi Fruit in four days. Collect 500x Qi Fruit and ship it to complete this special order.

Qi’s Cuisine

• Quest Objectives: Ship freshly cooked items worth 100,000 gold coins
• Reward: 25x Qi Gem
• Maximum Time Limit: 14 Days
• How to Complete: Cooked items with the word “Fresh” in their names will be counted for this special order from Mr. Qi. An easy way to complete this quest is to buy or brew 669x Coffee. Alternatively, use 1,667x Wheat at the Mill to transform it into Wheat Flour. Then, place the items in the Shipping Bin outside of the farmhouse until the profit earned reaches 100,000 gold coins.

Qi’s Hungry Challenge

• Quest Objectives: Reach Level 100 of the Skull Cavern without eating or drinking while in the dungeon.
• Reward: 25x Qi Gem
• Maximum Time Limit: 7 Days
• How to Complete: A complete Skull Cavern must be done in a day, or the character will automatically faint from exhaustion when the clock reaches 2 AM of the next day. However, consume food buffs before entering the dungeon to mark this special order as complete upon reaching Level 100. Qi’s Kindness

• Quest Objectives: Give Stardew Valley NPCs 50 loved gifts
• Reward: 40x Qi Gem
• Maximum Time Limit: 7 Days

Qi’s Prismatic Grange

• Quest Objectives: Place 100 items of each of the following colors in Mr. Qi’s collection box: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple.
• Reward: 35x Qi Gem
• Maximum Time Limit: 14 Days
• How to Complete: The easiest items to deposit per color are the following: Red: Spaghetti (Buy from the Stardrop Saloon for 250 gold coins per unit) Orange: Copper Ore (Buy from the Blacksmith for 150 gold coins per unit) Yellow: Hay (Buy from Marnie’s Ranch for 50 gold coins per unit) Green: Salad (Buy from the Stardrop Saloon for 220 gold coins per unit) Blue: Joja Cola (Buy from the vending machine in the Stardrop Saloon or Jojamart for 750 gold coins per unit) Purple: Void Essence (Buy from Krobus for 100 gold coins per unit, but players can only purchase up to 10 units each day)

Skull Cavern Invasion

• Quest Objectives: Reach the 100th level of the Skull Cavern
• Reward: 40x Qi Gem
• Maximum Time Limit: 7 Days
