While this is update 1.2, it's still in the Experimental phase. That means you'll have to enable the game's Experimental branch in order to access this new content. As is always the case with the Experimental portion of Satisfactory, the developers strongly encourage caution. This build isn't entirely stable. So make sure you back up your saves in case anything happens that might erase your hours of hard work. As far as new content goes, Satisfactory has now received a massive overhaul to rain. Not only does it make the world look more dynamic with wind, fog, and more detailed wetness, but you can personally adjust the intensity of rain in the settings. Additionally, more changes have been made to improve controller support. Dynamic Gamepad Swap, for example, now allows you to switch between your controller and mouse & keyboard simply by interacting with one or the other. No more menu and settings hopping required! Now, you can also rebind your controller keybindings to completely customize your gameplay input. There have also been significant changes to vehicles. First, the entire vehicle pathfinding system has been rebuilt from the ground up. This means that Vehicle Paths should now function more reliably while offering more options for automating and customization. Throw in the handful of new buildables and quality-of-life changes, and this is a fairly sizable update for Satisfactory enthusiasts and their pals to enjoy.
