
HumanitZ Armored Frontier Update .918: Patch Notes, New Weapons, POIs, Armored Vehicles, & More

The Saddles & Settlements update for HumanitZ was only two months ago, but the developers at Yodubzz Studios aren't slowing down! The game's 1.0 release is inching closer, and update .918 is the latest milestone. As always, this update will bring plenty of fixes and improvements, but it's also bringing some exciting new content. Look below to see what the latest build of the HumanitZ apocalypse has in store!
Regarding new content, this update features some awesome new POIs, including a Mining Site, a Shipping Dockyard, a Revamped Airport, and a ship that players can enter. It also includes the ability to modify and upgrade cars with a new vehicle armour system, a vehicle crafting bench, a tire system, and several vehicle mods.
There are also plenty of other new additions to sink your teeth into, including some exciting new weapons, a new hacker skill, new cosmetics, and new craftables.
As always, new quality of life changes join the fray as well. The vehicle claim system has been overhauled to give new players a better chance of finding their own vehicles, which should hopefully make it harder for players to monopolize vehicles. Also, players can finally dismantle storage containers with items inside without destroying said items. However, remember that destroying a player container with items will still destroy the items inside.
Throw in a massive list of bug fixes, and HumanitZ update .918 is another content-filled addition to improve the apocalypse. New Additions
- New vehicle armour system added (3 levels of armour that can be crafted and attached to your vehicles)
- New vehicle crafting bench
- New tire system: Over time, tires can become worn and become damaged where they need to be replaced. Driving without tires may affect your driving skills.
- New Vehicle mods: Fuel filter, gas tank, exhaust silencer and car alarm
- New P90 Submachine Gun
- New P90 FN 5.7 ammo
- New S Val weapon
- New M4A1 weapon
- New Melee Weapon: Tire Iron
- New POI: Mining Site
- New POI: Shipping Dockyard
- New POI: Revamped Airport
- New Ship that you can enter
- New hidden bunker added
- Bandit locked containers with high tier loot requiring crowbar/lockpick or hacking device to open
- New backpack attachments: 10 charms, 3 toys, and the coffee cup!
- New skill added: Hacker skill for allowing players to utilize hacking device on advanced locks
- New hacking device can now be crafted to allow access to advanced locks
- New craftable items added for crafting hacking device
- Player names above heads option for party and clan members (toggle on/off by pressing K)
QOL/Changes
- Changes made to vehicle claim system: Unclaimed vehicles are now destroyed on restart and new vehicles are respawned randomly in the world! This is to allow new players joining the server a higher chance of finding a vehicle to claim and prevent other users from monopolizing them
- Server admins can now see the name of the player in addition to SteamIDs when accessing storages or vehicles
- Adjusted daylight values based on player feedback (don’t forget about torches and your flashlight!)
- SATNAV moved to vehicle mods
- Increased pickup radius so no more “pixel-perfect” picking up
- Can now add resources without the build menu (can still use build menu for those used to it)
- Dismantling storage containers with items in them now drop the items inside
- Destroying player’s containers with items in them will NOT drop items (must be hacked/picked)
- Sharp tool item is now needed in hand to harvest meat from animals
- Sharp tools used for harvesting animals now takes durability loss
- Player-built assets on multi-story buildings or rooftops can no longer be seen when on ground floor
- More items have stacking capabilities (MREs, regular and advanced locks, etc.
- Most scrap cars will respawn. Scrap cars on the road will not respawn, but cars like the ones at the - Auto Shop or junk yard will respawn
- Survivors will no longer take damage from zeeks when inside a vehicle
- Door open/close prompt now moves with door instead of staying in doorway
- AWM converted to 7.62mm ammo instead of .50 cal ammo (7.62 is blanket, we are aware the AWM uses 7.62x67mm, not standard 7.62X51 NATO)
- SCAR-L has been changed to the SCAR-H and now takes 7.62mm ammo
- Fire arrows icon changed
- Fire arrows can no longer go in pockets
- Compound Bow icon updated
- Menu UI for items in larger backpacks are no longer cut off at the bottom of the screen
- Reduced the amount of resources required to craft animal and fish traps
- Removed rocks along the route Tommy takes for his quest so he stops getting stuck
- Zeek collision improved to further reduce chances of vehicle flipping
- Zeeks can no longer damage you inside vehicles
- Zeeks can damage you while sleeping (but not in sleeping bags or tents)
- Improved server performance
- Updated reported translation issues (verify with Kai)
- Updated Tutorial based off player feedback (lighter was on the ground the whole time)
- Demo Map has been updated to current build version
Bug Fixes
- Horde Mode scenario completion “Fortunate Son” achievement now works properly
- All zeek backpacks will now disappear over time and during server restart
- Fingers and ankles now show appropriate body color when wearing fingerless gloves and sneakers/trainers with short pants
- Lockpicking another player’s vehicle now shows appropriate animation
- Hair no longer disappears when equipping NVGs
- Hair no longer clips through the new cowboy hat
- Airdrops no longer float in the air
- Empty cans now stacking appropriately
- Berry bushes replication fixed to allow harvesting
- Berry bush animation stutter rectified
- Fish traps no longer remove contents upon server reset
- Crafting food no longer accounts for quickslot items when crafting allowing duplication
- Creating a clan now works with controller
- PIN code inputs now work on controller
- Build menu UI no longer displays controller prompts when not using a controller
- Can now swap ammo using controller (hold RELOAD button)
- Can now swap ammo while on the horse
- Reported fences you were unable to climb over can now be climbed over
- Bunker ceilings raised so you wont get stuck on beds
- Logging out inside a building no longer disrupts camera positioning when logging back in
- New Base Gates can now be shot through when shooting from the catwalk
- Mining node resources will no longer spawn under the terrain when mined
- Light poles and Electric Fences will no longer look unpowered when returning to render distance
- Uzi Crafting at the gun bench now allows the gun-crafting in-game achievement to complete
- Tent text UI now says Disassemble to pack up your tent instead of ASSEMBLE
- Compost Bin no longer allowing water bottle duplication or UI issues with bottles
- Siphoning fuel now gives appropriate values
- Flamethrower now displays correctly in gun rack
- Flamethrower now damages vehicles/structures (PvP), and explosive barrels
- Fixed grass collision issues in various locations
- Death crates now accessible when dying in doorways
- Logs can now be chopped into wood without having to be picked up first
- Lighting fires no longer consumes multiple items
- Fixed multiple Build Menu UI issues
- More than 1 player-built ceiling tile now disappears when in build mode
- Electric fences now damage players in PvP
- Barbed wire on walls/fences now apply damage to enemies/players
- Glass jars are now consumed when used in crafting
- Multiple fixes for player item duping
- TPHorse command abuse fixed (cooldown on usage implemented)
- Fixed Horse dupping saddle issue (saddles no longer go in pockets)
- Horse UI button prompts now reflect appropriately when using MnK or controller
- Horse whistle now working appropriately
- Horse now regains stamina when in trotting state
- Dog vest can now be repaired
- Sleeping and accessing settings no longer removes HUD
- Survivor SUVs and locked containers no longer refuse to open the inventory
- Hoodies/jumpers no longer remove themselves when toggling hood up/down
- Demo saves no longer tied to main game which was causing multiple issues
- Fixed an issue where save files were not populating in the LOAD GAME menu
- Flamethrowers no longer take gun repair kits to fill ammo
- Flamethrower’s display position fixed in gun rack
- Flamethrower no longer recovers ammo by placing in backpack or swapping with another weapon
- Overall zeek kills now account for fire damage
- Hostile dogs now take damage from the flamethrower
- No more infinite rocks spawning
- Fish and animal traps working appropriately. Only put in enough bait as there are free slots to acquire meat/fish (Ex. 2 slots, 2 pieces of bait)
- Full containers now allow stacking of stackable items
- Rocket Launcher and Grenade Launcher ammo no longer disappears when picked up (round 3)
- Camper van no longer deletes your items without cooking them
- Camper van no longer deletes your food when logging in/out
- Camper van no longer deletes your food when left in cooker and driving around
- Gas tank prompt detection for vehicles slightly increased
- Generators now account for capacity of fuel cans (no more 16% giving full generator of fuel)
- Fixed multiple Night Vision exploit issues
- CTRL+Left Click now works for moving stacked items to dropped backpacks
- CTRL+ Left Click now works moving items between backpacks that are full allowing stacking
- CTRL+L Click no longer freezes your screen when transferring bullet casings to your inventory
- Seed packets when opened in containers now give more than 1 seed
- Sleeping Bags no longer cause the player to get stuck
- Sleeping Bags no longer cause the UI to become frozen
- Fixed collision issues on roofs of reported buildings
- Fixed Bobby's questline issues
- Fixed Roman to take items when turning in his quests (reminder, his quests are repeatable and change after a couple days)
- Window in tutorial no longer destructible allowing access outside the tutorial zone
- Minor typos fixed in multiple areas
Known Issues
- SGP PvP Clan creation not working appropriately
- Map Resetting during a crash
- Cursor getting stuck behind players
- Camera issue with CLOSE mode
- Female hair bandana issue
- Entering the wrong vehicle when two vehicles are parked too close together
- Unable to wake from sleep when sleeping at a Survivor Camp and an NPC is too close forcing interaction prompt
- Scenario Mode furniture respawns when saving and exiting/re-entering session
- Doc is still causing problems with his pathing for his quest
- Great Scott, Bring Him Home quests intermittently not working
- Mushrooms and Red Berries spawning in when default season is set to WINTER starting
- House generators missing
- Base gate barbed wire upgrade in incorrect position when crafted
- Various car jack issues (if keybinds are changed)
- Snow showing inside structures of multi-story layer built bases
