The Holy Roman Empire won't rebuild itself, so you'd better get busy! In Romestead, you'll need to keep yourself alive, establish settlements, and gather valuable resources. One such resource that you may want to focus on to sell for a nice return of Quadrans is Olive Oil. Take a look below, and we'll show you where to find olives and how you can craft and utilize olive oil in Homestead.

How to Get Olive Oil in Romestead

Romestead Farm screenshot Obviously, you'll need some Olives if you want to make Olive Oil! Luckily, you can find these delectable fruits scattered throughout the world of Romestead. They grow in small, leafy trees that you can recognize from the accumulation of yellowed olives dappled between the leaves. Interact with these trees to harvest the olives. These trees respawn olives after a short time, so you can gather even more. If you want, you can also chop down an olive tree in hopes of grabbing an olive seed. With some of these, you can grow your own olive trees wherever you like. Placing a few around your home will make it faster to go gather olives when you need them. Romestead Olive Oil image Collecting olives is the easy part, but now you'll need to make sure you have a Manual Mill. To craft this, you'll need a Workbench and four stones. This is used to crush your harvested olives into a usable paste. Yet, you're still not ready. You also need some Small Pots, which can only be obtained at the pottery workshop. To unlock this area, you first need to finish a quest called "Sanguis Celeste" for the god Vulcan. Once the quest is done, you can create a pottery workshop using lumber, stone, pottery, and giving the shop an employee using a citizen. With all of that out of the way, you're still not quite ready. Now, you need the final ingredient: an Olive Oil Dolium. This is the station where you can finally craft your olive oil. You'll need three pieces of clay to make it, and you're good to go! To craft olive oil, you'll interact with the dolium using the following:
  • Olive Paste: 1
  • Empty Pot: 1
And voila! You can finally craft all the olive oil your heart desires. The best use for this hard-won mixture is to sell it to a trader. Each bottle goes for 50 quadrans, which is a nice, handy sum for building a bigger, better Roman empire.
