Minecraft Spear Guide: All Minecraft Spears, Attacks, & More
Posted on by
A new weapon has joined the fray, and this one has the potential to change how PVP is played! So, today, we take an early look at the new Minecraft spears, how their two attacks function, and the recipe they all share in our Minecraft spear guide.
Unlike the trident and mace, the spear has joined the sword and axe with variants for all resource tiers. This makes it a weapon that can be used all the way from the late game to the early game, where it is especially viable due to its low resource cost.
Rather than spamming attacks like with the sword, the spear thrives on slower but more damaging thrusts with extended reach. These attacks increase in damage based on your speed and your opponent’s speed, making the spear extremely lethal if you or your opponent is going fast. Additionally, the spear has a second attack known as charge, with its own unique mechanics and functions, which we detail below.
As of the writing of this article, no enchantments have been confirmed for the spear. It is possible that this may mean it is sharing most enchantments with the sword. However, the snapshot is needed to know for sure. As soon as the details are made public, we will have them added here.
