How to Get Chitin in Smalland

Players can obtain Chitin by killing various creatures in Smalland. So, the requirements to get this material depends on which creature you want to kill. The insects that drop this item are:

• Black Widow
• Grasshopper
• Green Beetle

• Nocturnal Grasshopper
• Sawyer Beetle
• Spider Matriarch
• Wasp
• Wasp Queen

Out of all the creatures that drop Chitin, the Sawyer Beetle is the most abundant in the game. You can find it in many areas of the map. Sawyer Beetles are weak to piercing weapons but are resistant to edged weapons. If you’re a beginner to the game, you can start taking advantage of this weakness with the Stone Spear. Craft this weapon at the Stonecutter using the following items:

Best Locations to Farm Chitin

As mentioned previously, you can find Chitin in various places around the world of the Smallfolk. The Oak Forest biome is a good place to start your search. Note that Sawyer Beetles in Smalland typically don’t stay in groups. So, you have two options after killing a Sawyer Beetle for its Chitin: (1) wait for that Sawyer Beetle in the same location to respawn, or (2) look for another one nearby. Another option is to fight and kill Wasps in the area, as these creatures often appear in groups. However, some spawning areas have more than a few wasps in them, so you may need to be strategic to navigate the danger.
