The Dragon’s Breath is a devastating firearm in Windrose, and its stats and unique effects can work especially well for pirate captains using the right builds to support it. Here, we’ll take a deep dive into what you should know about this long-range weapon, including where it's located, how to get it, and how to get the most out of it in a fight!
Getting the Dragon’s Breath requires natural progression, as Windrose players can only get it in the Cursed Swamps. Once unlocked, search for and open Old Skeleton Chests in this biome, and hope that Lady Luck is on your side, that one of them may contain this prized firearm. Crypts, Tainted Ruins, and Ruins with Flowerbeds generally have higher chances of containing these chests, which, by extension, might also have this blunderbuss.
Alternatively, bypass the significant reliance on RNG by crafting the Dragon’s Breath at camp. Craft it a Level 1 Weaponsmith Workshop using 10x Wood and 7x Copper Ingot. This recipe yields the weapon’s Rare variant. You can also enhance it to Epic, which only requires the Rare version and 9x Tumbaga Ingot at the same workstation.
To circumvent the need to find the Dragon's Breath at all, you can also visit another Windrose server where a player has the gun already. Here, simply request to hold the weapon to immediately learn its crafting recipe without the need to go to the Cursed Swamps, and you can drop it right back to its original owner!
