Unturned California 2 Keycards Guide: Locations, How to Get, & How to Use
Publicado el por
Now that the massive Unturned map California 2 has finally arrived, there's a huge amount of land and twisting pathways for zombie-killers to explore. If you're hoping to become the most well-equipped survivor in the Golden State, you'll want some high-level loot. For that, you'll inevitably need keycards. With these, you can access the deepest, darkest secrets that the map has to offer. Without further ado, let's show you how to grab Unturned California 2 keycards and how to use them.
First things first: there are three different tiers of keycards in California 2. Tier 1, Tier 2, & Tier 3. As one might guess, the higher the tier, the higher the reward waiting behind the unlocked door. Keep in mind, however, that the higher tier might also mean a higher level of threat if you're unlocking a Deadzone.
The way that you find keycards is, for the most part, random loot drops. However, there are a few places where they're more likely to spawn. The most basic is hoping they drop from slain zombies. The next best bet, however, is to patrol military zones or storage areas.
Cracking open storage containers and chests, or even carefully looking around the environment, can yield a handful of Tier 1 and Tier 2 keycards. Fort Mojave is a great place to find a higher percentage of keycards, but make sure you bring a Gas Mask when exploring its underground bunker.
If you're looking for Tier 3 keycards, you need to head to Delmarva's Bunker or Deepwater Complex. To enter these dangerous deadzones, you'll need some Tier 2 keycards and more than a simple Gas Mask. Without a full set of Biohazard gear, your exploring days will come to a close.
Of course, if you're only focused on getting to the loot and don't want to hunt for keycards, you can always use the keycard item IDs to spawn as many keycards as you like. Also, keep in mind that you can happen upon keycard bundles. These rare finds can use their corresponding tiered keycard in a single item slot.
As mentioned above, the purpose of keycards is to unlock doors, naturally. These doors can lead to locked-up bunkers, random rooms throughout the world, or the challenging Deadzones. If you crack open a bunker, you probably won't find much loot. You will, however, have access to a highly defensible position. Setting up a bunker as your base of operations in Unturned is a great way to keep yourself safe from the undead and enemy players. And you don't have to build it yourself!
If you happen to find a random door unlocked by a Tier 1 keycard in a random building, it's luck of the draw. You might find loot inside, or a whole bunch of nothing. Meanwhile, the Deadzones are filled with valuable gear. However, they're unlocked with either a Tier 2 or a Tier 3 keycard. They also require you to be wearing a Gas Mask or Biohazard suit and are filled with violent Mega Zombies.
With a Tier 2 keycard, you can access Delmarva's Bunker to the northeast and Deepwater Complex near California 2's center. These areas contain higher-tier loot, such as harder-to-find weapons, Biohazard suit pieces, steel ingots, and, crucially, Tier 3 keycards.
With a Tier 3 keycard, the southeastern deadzone of Mesadyne and the perilous Mt. Whitney to the east can be accessed. These areas are even more volatile than the Tier 2 deadzones. As a result, you'll need a full Biohazard suit if you want to explore without quickly dying. The rewards for risking your life in these areas are the best California 2 has to offer. Incredibly rare and powerful weapons, heavy ammo, explosive components, large amounts of medical supplies, military-grade weapon attachments, and more. One of the scariest things you can encounter is a powerful, player-killing turret. Destroy this, and you'll have access to turret components that you can use to create your own turret back home!
