When & Where is the Night Market in Stardew Valley

The Stardew Valley Night Market occurs from Winter 15 to 17, and takes place at the docks on the Beach. The event starts accepting visitors from 5 PM. Also, homes and shops don’t close during the Night Market, unlike other in-game festivals.

What to do in the Stardew Valley Night Market

As of Update 1.6, the Stardew Valley Night Market has six attractions. These features range from shops to mini-games.

Desert Trader

Normally found at the Calico Desert, the Desert Trader makes an appearance in this three-day event. This NPC has the same permanent and rotating stock as their desert shop. The only difference is that the player receives 1x Coffee per night when talking with the merchant during the Night Market.

Decoration Boat

Head to the docks during the Night Market festival to find the Decoration Boat. Here, players can purchase items to decorate their farms. This store’s stock is permanent, so players won’t have to worry about visiting the establishment on specific days.

Fishing Submarine

Although players can stick around the Night Market until 2 AM, the Fishing Submarine won’t accept participants after 11 PM. Here, players can pay 1,000 gold coins to take a deep-sea fishing tour. Then, the submarine descends into the depths of the sea, consuming 30 in-game minutes in the process. Note that returning to the surface also consumes the same amount of time. While the submarine closes at 11 PM, players can continue fishing in the watercraft until 2 AM. It’s also important to mention that three fish can only be caught in this instance: the Blobfish, Spook Fish, and Midnight Squid. Players who wish to achieve a 100% Perfection rating should consider this detail. Other sea creatures and items that can be caught in the Fishing Submarine are as follows:

Magic Shop Boat

Mermaid Boat

The Mermaid Boat accepts visitors only until 12:30 AM. Here, players can watch a mermaid’s performance, which leads to an opportunity to try to solve a puzzle. Providing the correct solution rewards the player with a Pearl. Tip: The solution to the puzzle is the following order: 1-5-4-2-3 (from left to right). Note that players must complete the mermaid’s 1-hour and 40-minute performance before getting the chance to solve the puzzle. Leaving in the middle of her presentation restarts the show.

Shrouded Figure

The Shrouded Figure has the same function as the Warp Totem: Farm, allowing players to immediately return to their homes without walking. However, each teleport attempt costs 250 gold coins.

Traveling Cart

The Traveling Cart always appears at every Night Market festival. Find this store on a raft at the docks. Like the Magic Shop Boat, the items sold from the Traveling Cart refresh per night. However, players in a multiplayer Stardew Valley server have a chance to purchase the Wedding Ring recipe from this shop during the Night Market.
