The Onyx Tear in V Rising is an endgame resource known for being a core ingredient to making legendary weapons. This black and gold gem-like item generally requires significant grinding, as crafting one unit requires players to farm multiple late-game items to use as additional ingredients. Nonetheless, collecting the right amount of Onyx Tears allows players to be one step closer to crafting their chosen legendary weapons.

Crafting the Onyx Tear

V Rising vampires can craft the Onyx Tear at the Anvil using 4x Gold Ingot, 4x Power Core, and 4x Ember Glass (used to require Blood Crystals before Update 1.1). However, this crafting recipe will only be available after defeating the Level 84 V Blood Carrier, Lord Styx the Night Champion, in Dracula’s Demise. Note that crafting the 1x Onyx Tear is a challenge in of itself, especially after seeing its ingredients. In particular, players can craft 1x Gold Ingot using 4x Gold Jewelry and 1x Sulphur at the advanced Furnace after defeating Azariel the Sunbringer. Additionally, craft 1x Ember Glass using 8x Venom Sap and 20x Emery at the same workstation after defeating Dantos the Forgebinder. Last, but not least, craft 2x Power Core using 4x Charged Battery and 8x Radium Alloy at the Fabricator after defeating Voltatia the Power Master. Note: An Onyx Tear may drop after defeating the V Blood Carriers Solarus the Immaculate, Talzur the Winged Horror, and Adam the Firstborn.
