Rust June 2026 Wipe Date

This time-honored tradition also typically goes live around 10 AM GMT or 6 AM ET. Once released, the Rust server wipe resets both the map and each player’s blueprints. Take this opportunity to jump in and experience the new “toys” without the clutter of old bases dominating the map.

What’s New in the Rust June 2026 Wipe?

Like other Rust server wipes, the June reset comes with an update that’s also heavy on new content. This update has a mix of many, including new guns, overhauls to the player model, and more! Note: This update is now live on the Rust Staging Branch for those interested in checking it out before it’s released on the main branch.

M16A2

The Rust June 2026 Update deploys the M16A2, a classic assault rifle that packs a definite punch. Rust Staging Branch players confirm this addition, positioning it as a go-to option for its people-stopping power on the battlefield. Players can expect this new firearm to be one of the game’s top-tier options.

UI Changes

The menus are getting a visual identity refresh, swapping out the traditional logo for a distinct yellow variant. Various buttons will also carry this tone with new bright yellow accents. This design direction helps to make the game’s aesthetic feel cleaner than before.

Gear Stat Changes

Stat balances aren’t uncommon in Rust updates, and the June wipe commits to that idea by adjusting the stats of the BDU Shirt and Pants. In particular, this pair now has the same stats as the Hoodie and Pants. This change makes both clothing pairs good choices for the early-game meta, providing suitable defenses for new character spawns.

Additional Cosmetics

Expect more player cosmetic options to be included in the update with the Rust June 2026 Wipe. In particular, players will be able to use new ponytail and bun hairstyles for their models. Dedicated body hair options for both male and female characters may also become available.

Updated Player Model & Animations

As mentioned in the Rust 2026 Roadmap, the new player model arrives in the June server update. The new design should feature updated skinning and high-resolution exports, resulting in improved character fidelity. In turn, this change also alters how cosmetics look and move when worn.

New Ballistic Armor

The Ballistic Helmet, Ballistic Vest, and Ballistic Leg Armor are a new armor tier included in the Rust June update. Players can take advantage of its high-quality, tactical look for immersive raiding.

Improved Skin Viewer & Skinnable Turrets

This update also patches the Skin Viewer to support the Auto Turret. Additionally, a recent fix ensures that the skinned material properly inherits when the turret is destroyed or gibbed. Doing so guarantees that your decked-out Auto Turret looks good even when it’s in shambles.

New Navmesh

A new Navmesh enters Rust through the June 2026 Update Wipe. Although disabled by default, this suggests significant AI pathing optimizations might be on the horizon. If so, it should help prevent classic NPC navigation errors commonly found around base foundations.
