There are heaps of useful items in Terraria. From weapons and mounts to armor and potions and much, much more. Some of the most useful items you can nab are accessories. If you spend a lot of your time underground and near roiling hot lava in Terraria, a Lava Charm is just what you need. We'll tell you exactly how to get one and what they're good for down below.

How to Get a Lava Charm in Terraria

If you're looking for Lava Charms, you need to get comfortable being underground. These handy little dewdads will randomly appear within Chests in the Cavern layer. Specifically, you need to be near lava pools in the Cavern layer. You'll also have a 5% chance of finding Lava Charms inside Obsidian or Hellstone Crates. Naturally, if you're chest hunting underground, make sure you have some Spelunker Potions to make chests significantly easier to spot. Additionally, you can place Magma Stones into Shimmer to receive Lava Charms. Conversely, Lava Charms will create Magma Stones when thrown into Shimmer. Magma Stones have a 2% chance of dropping from defeated Lava Bats or a 0.67% chance to drop from Hellbats.
