Naturally, as an open-world survival title, Once Human will have you scouring for valuable resources. A particularly vital ingredient for plenty of recipes in Once Human is Acid. This handy corrosive can be found in plenty of places, crafted at your base, and is needed for all types of ammo, weapons, and more. We've got all the acidic info you need to know right below.

Obtaining Acid from Loot

Luckily, Acid isn't too hard to find. The real problem is that, eventually, you will need lots and lots of it. Arguably, the most valuable thing you can craft with Acid is Gunpowder. As one might be able to guess, Gunpowder is all too important as you continue to grow your arsenal, get stronger, and face more hostile challenges. As you're exploring the opening hours of the game, you'll find plenty of Acid by defeating Deviants and looting settlement crates. Naturally, killing most foes you encounter and looting every container you find is good practice. Whenever you go out hunting for Acid, it's a good idea to cook and eat some Preserved Deviated Chops beforehand. There are more than 10 recipes for whipping up this dish, and it's enormously useful. Upon consumption, any quantity of Acid you gain from defeating Deviants will increase by 50 percent. This effect lasts only 30 minutes, but it can give you a huge boost in Acid acquisition.

Obtaining Acid from Crafting

If you're looking to craft your own Acid, the simplest method is to use a Brewing Barrel. One thing about Purified Water combined with 10 counts of Impure Acid will give you normal Acid. This method is simple, but it won't create large quantities of Acid. Additionally, polluted zones can be difficult to enter and leave alive. So, if you want a safer and more renewable source of Acid, you can test your green thumb and grow contaminated crops in your Territory. The main crops used for Acid production are:

• Contaminated Wheat
• Contaminated Berries
• Contaminated Aloe Vera

These plants can be found in Pollution Zones. Once you've obtained seeds, you can grow the crops yourself instead of constantly searching the world. After harvesting your crops, you can use the contaminated produce in a few different Acid-production recipes through a Large Synthesis Bench. As useful as this method is, it's best to pursue additional methods for acquiring Acid if you want to get as much of it as you can. Another method of crafting is to use an Enhanced Electric Furnace. For this, however, you'll need the perk Art of Stardust Decay. This Memetic specialization will allow you to use Stardust Source with your electric furnace to create plenty of acid. You can also convert Sulfur into Acid using a Large Synthesis Bench and some Energy Link, but once again, you need to ensure you've unlocked the requisite Memetic specialization. In this case, Sulfur Chemist will allow you to make the conversion.
