How to Unlock the Zenara & Astralym Boss Fight in Palworld

Although it’s possible to reach the domain of Zenara & Astralym in Palworld, it’s not a simple matter of walking through the door and requesting a fight. As this encounter is the final altercation to finish Palworld’s mainline quest, players are required to go through a multi-stage endgame chain. First, unlock the World Tree, as this region holds the Sealed Sanctum, Zenara & Astralym’s realm. Head to the Sealed Sanctum, which is in the southwestern part of the World Tree, to take on your first trial In particular, unlocking the first gate to the retreat requires you to defeat three bosses in the World Tree. The locations of these encounters will be marked on your map. Travel to those areas and gain victory. Next, return to the Sealed Sanctum and unlock the first gate. Inside, interact with the second door, which triggers a cutscene. Assuming that you’ve beaten the other seven tower bosses in Palworld, including Auri & Shaolong at Sunreach, you’ll place the acquired key spheres into the World Tree boss door. Consider preparing for Palworld’s final boss fight before interacting with the door. After all, this encounter is no laughing matter, as some of Astralym’s attacks can blast you and your Pal to oblivion in a heartbeat. For starters, reaching the maximum level in Palworld 1.0 is a non-negotiable requirement before triggering this fight. Remember, your Pals can’t exceed your character level. That means walking into the Zenara & Astralym arena at player level 78 will have your Pals under-leveled. So, grind your character and your Pals to the level cap before even thinking about inserting those key spheres into the door. Next, unlock and gear up with the best technology available to you. For defense, the Lightweight Ancient Armor is the best choice. Introduced in the Version 1.0 Update, this body armor has high defense stats and improves the wearer’s maximum carry capacity by four levels. It also has level 2 resistances to cold and heat, making it the optimal choice for defending against attacks and environmental hazards. As for weapons, choose an endgame firearm that fits your playstyle. Bow users can aim for the Mechanical Bow, a powerful late-game bow unlocked at Level 67 and crafted using 40x Sorallite Ingot, 20x Carbon Fiber, 200x Paldium Fragment, and 3x AI Core. There’s also the Plasma Rifle, a firearm that can be unlocked at Level 78, which also releases an electric discharge on hit enemies for extra damage. How to Beat Zenara & Astralym in Palworld

This fused entity has no inherent element, which also means there’s no elemental weakness to exploit. Here, raw stats, gear, and dodging skills determine your victory. This boss’s massive size can be threatening, but it also means each attack has a definite tell. So, be patient, and also attack when necessary. Avoid getting greedy with each shot, or it may be your last. The attacks to watch out for in this fight are as follows:

• Beam Pillars: Astralym folds its tentacles/wings. The ground glows, and damaging light pillars appear shortly afterward.
• Wing Lasers: Light charges at Astralym wings, which the boss fires in straight angles afterward.
• Core Laser: Astralym folds its tentacles/wings while light is charging at its core. A massive laser beam shoots afterward.
• Light Explosion: An on-screen message appears, saying “Astralym is drawing in energy! Attack its wing to interrupt it!” Failure to do so results in the boss emitting a large-scale explosion from its body, causing massive damage.
• Laser Flyby: At about half health, Astralym changes color, and a ring appears on its back. One of its attacks during this phase is a flyby, with lasers shooting from its tentacles/wings. Astralym flies out of the arena and shoots lasers into the sky. The light beams crash down into the arena after a short while.
• Ring Laser: A more powerful version of the core laser, wherein Astralym shoots a massive light beam from the ring. Then, the ring moves around the outer area of the arena, carrying the laser with it.
• Shockwaves: At around a quarter health remaining, Astralym shoots the arena’s floor with lasers. This attack generates damaging shockwaves that explode after the initial animation finishes.
• Final Burst: At around 10% or lower remaining health, an on-screen message appears, saying “Astralym is mustering the last of its power! Strike now to stop it!” Failure to stop this attack may result in a wipeout.

After learning its attack patterns, here are some helpful strategies, tips, and tricks to help you survive and win this fight:

• Stay in constant motion. Stay put, and meet your doom.
• Interrupt charge attacks. Pile on the heavy attacks whenever an on-screen message appears.
• Focus on the core. Zenara is at Astralym’s chest, which is also the boss’s major weak point.
• Bring a fast flying mount. Jetragon is your best option to enter this fight, as mounting it lets you easily evade the massive yet slow-moving lasers.
• Save your best attacks for the end. Don’t skimp on your strongest weapons and attacks during the final phase. If not, it’s going to be frustrating to fail after bringing the boss’s health low.
• Request help from the community. Ask for assistance from players in other Palworld servers to increase DPS for this fight and to spread the boss’s aggro whenever necessary.
• Don’t bother with throwing Pal Spheres. Astralym can’t be captured, but defeating this fused being unlocks its Paldeck entry.
