How to Find Baby Mobs

Baby animals are not typically among the mobs spotted out in the world and, instead, are created through breeding two adult animals. An example of this is feeding seeds to two adult chickens, which in turn causes them to enter love mode and create a chick. Almost every mob with a baby variant has a favored food and can be bred in this way, but some do stray from the pattern. Each of those unique cases has been noted in the list found below.

Cat (Kitten)

The player can not breed dolphins. Instead, when a dolphin spawns, there is a 10% chance it will be a baby.

The player can not breed polar bears. Instead, when a polar bear spawns, there is a chance a baby polar bear will spawn alongside the adult.

When two turtles are bred, one will become pregnant and return to its home beach to lay eggs. These eggs eventually hatch into turtles if not destroyed.
