However, difficult challenges await unprepared players who wish to rush through the map as fast as possible. So, ensure you have the appropriate gear to take on these endeavors by farming Thorium in Hytale, and we’re here to show you how as you keep reading.

Where to Find Thorium in Hytale

Generally, two variants of Thorium currently exist in Hytale: ore and ingot. First, locate and farm Thorium Ore to smelt it into its ingot form. Find Thorium Ore in desert biomes, such as the Badlands and Howling Desert. Search for it in caverns and underground layers. It can be tough to miss this ore, as it has a distinct green color. Additionally, like other ores, Thorium Ore protrudes from surfaces, such as floors and walls. Once found, use a pickaxe to mine the mineral. It’s possible to use the lowest-tier pickaxe for this job, which is the Wooden Pickaxe. But you should bring at least an Iron Pickaxe to make this resource-farming task more efficient. Additionally, bring repair kits with you to help reduce the frequency of going back to your Workbench to craft additional pickaxes if the one you’re carrying breaks. Alternatively, travel to a volcanic island to defeat armored skeletons. These enemies can be challenging to deal with, but they can drop Thorium Ingots. Farm Thorium Ore and return to your base when you’re satisfied with the amount. Next, interact with a Furnace to smelt the Thorium Ore into a Thorium Ingot. Then, gather Thorium Ingot to use it for various crafting recipes, which you can find in the next section. Note: Avoid being in Creative Mode when farming Thorium Ore in Hytale, as using a Pickaxe on Thorium blocks will destroy them.
